dvdflick no longer works in wine
Trying to run the latest version of dvdflick (http://www.dvdflick.net) results in the program freezing and having to be forcibly terminated. The only difference I can make out between the new version and the older betas is the GUI. At some point the GUI changed and is now using 'xp styles'. The last beta that I could get hold of which worked was 1.3.0 build 616 and that had the older

Re: dvdflick no longer works in wine
I too am having problems running the latest version of DVD Flick in Wine. DVD Flick version 1.2.2.1 worked fine, but version 1.3.0.3 does not. I have tried it with Wine versions 1.0 and 1.1.6, with the same result. DVD Flick always hangs when you try to add your first video file. The console output is as follows. The point (*) is reached at the point when the startup banner disappears and the

Very odd musiconhold
I've followed the docs on how to configure musiconhold. I then added an extension to test it like this: exten => 6601,1,WaitMusicOnHold(30) And when I dial that extension I do hear something for 30 seconds - but it is not what I'd call music... it sounds more like the sound effects from a scifi flick - now and then it sounds like jail cell doors closing and echoing. Kinda cool but

SRP Support
Just wondering if there were any plans to integrate SRP support into OpenSSH. And if there aren't would a patch be accepted that would enable such. And if so could anyone give me a couple of pointers as to where the authentication code goes. Edward Flick

Help with Multi stream files
...The first file is the orig jpeg, which is intact. The second file I will assume to be the thumbnail, while the 3rd file is empty. I have done a search on the net and the samba list archives and have seen mails from other people with the same problem but have not found a solution. I have tried flicking some of the more obscure options for configuring samba with no success. Any advice or help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. Robert H.

wxsugar question
I''ve only had the briefest play with wxSugar and already I like it a lot. One small question - have you considered some more ''convention over configuration'' like they do in rails, in particular for event connectors? So instead of listen(:button, my_button, my_button_pressed) you can leave it out entirely and rely on the convention that a button has a _pressed

information about a function
Hi people, I am new in this list and could not find a FAQ for it in particular, furthermore I could not find my question answered in the official R FAQ or docs. I have simply something like this: > f<-approxfun(data[,1],data[,2]) and f is: > f function (v) .C("R_approx", as.double(x), as.double(y), as.integer(n), xout = as.double(v), as.integer(length(v)),

Rails 2.3 memcache performance drop
After much effort I upgraded our fairly large Rails app from 2.1 to 2.3. After deployment yesterday I noticed an across the board increase in response times. It seems that every call to memcache now takes 10x longer than before. Here are some example numbers from my development log (below), with memcache running locally. We see similar scale of performance drop in production as well - average

Autotest and subclasses / namespaces
..., so it''s defined like class Admin::CitiesController > AdminController Whenever I save the controller file, autotest freaks out: uninitialized constant Admin::AdminController (NameError) I''m pretty used to just hitting CTRL-C to get autotest to re-load all the files, or flicking to the spec file, and saving it to get a similar effect. But it is fairly irritating. Any suggestions for how to hack autotest to get this to flow more nicely? cheers, Matt ---- http://blog.mattwynne.net http://songkick.com -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scr...

Vorbis for PlayStation
you can write your own software mixer that can decode MP3 on the PS2 so I can't see why you can't do that with ogg, however, even mp3 is processor intensive and programers are not going to give up that much processor power which will decrease or detract from the rest of the game. However, I'm sure there are some people out there that have been able to work around this. Regardless, ps1

Request regarding cluster package
Dear Mr. Bengtsson, I see that there is a package exclusively for clustering data, named as "Cluster Package" in R library. It has some clustering algorithms implemented. Can you tell me how to implement the CLARA and PAM functions from that package for my data? Bhanu Kalyan K B.Tech Final Year, CSE Tel: +91-9885238228 Alternate E-Mail: reach4kalyan@gmail.com

I have compiled and tested Samba 3-alpha (CVS up to 10/12/01) and I have the following problem. Anyone tell me what I am doing wrong as I can't believe that I am the only person suffering from this. The environment is Mandrake 7.2 with kernel 2.2.17 talking to multiple machines running Win98 and WinMe. This also happens on Mandrake 8.1 with kernel 2.4.8. I have the ability to easily

Changing contexts "on the fly"
Hi folks, I've been playing around with an Asterisk server in my office for a few weeks now, and I've got it pretty much nailed down the way I want it, which is nice. One of the features I'm using is the ability to switch different contexts in & out of the dialplan on a schedule. So, for example, I've got the "official" tel number ringing my desk phone between
