I downoaded flash9 for linux. Installed it: ls /usr/lib64/mozilla-seamonkey-1.0.9/plugins/ flashplayer.xpt libflashplayer.so libnullplugin.so However seamonkey is not doing flash yet. Does it not work in 64 bit? Did I miss something? Anyone else have flash going on amd64? I thought you put the files in the above directory and restart. Didn't work for me. Jerry

Hello everyone, I run a 64bit system here and install flash plugins for firefox using nspluginwrapper. I get the movies but there is no sound. Flashplayer is: flash-plugin-9.0.48.0-release.i386.rpm nspluginwrappers are: nspluginwrapper-0.9.91.5-1.x86_64.rpm nspluginwrapper-i386-0.9.91.5-1.x86_64.rpm Any help in tracking this down would be great. So I decided to try and track down the problem on my own machine (CentOS 6.2) where yumex allows you to see and load older versions of a package. I started with a downgrade (and then a 2nd one .... and then the 5th one) of libflashplayer.so - fortunately rpmforge has older versions. Going right back to a 10.x version did not fix the problem. Thus I guess it is a firefox / xulrunner problem, however I am not happy to go back too many versions here as the exploit potential is much higher. Then I tried konqueror with flash enabled...

Starting on friday I download icecast 2.3.2 and compiled it on SLES10. Very soon I was able to use ices to stream an mp3 file to a mp3 (phonostart, foobar) client via Icecast. But my flashplayer, which was able to get streams from icacast1, was not able to full fill his job. I did reseaches on the net, hour for hour, found a lot of stuff. I think it's because the website uses Flash as first player instead of using it as a fallback for when the browser does not support modern web standards like the audio tag.
