I understand that currently, at least under Solaris 10u6, it is not possible to jumpstart a new system with a zfs root using a flash archive as a source. Can anyone comment as to whether this restriction will pass in the near term, or if this is a while out (6+ months) before this will be possible? Thanks, Jerry

I was trying to think of a way to set compression=on at the beginning of a jumpstart. The only idea I''ve come up with is to do so with a flash archive predeployment script. Can I run 8/07 fully virtualised on an Intel VT CPU (with a Linux Dom0)? I gave up on 11/06 because of real mode problems. If not, does anyone have an estimate of when this might be possible, if at all? Thanks - Evan
