Hello All. I have five Centos 4.4 x86_64 (amd fx-62) boxes with 4 gig of Corsair dual channel ram running kernel 2.6.9-42.0.10.EL (smp). The sixth box is the same except for video card and ram. It is using 8gig of GSkill dual channel ram and has a very cheap ATI video card in it. This box will segfault on boot unless I use noapic acpi=off and nolapic. I've been reading up on recommended partitioning scheme and looking at Centos 5 beta's default scheme, it struck me that with LVM, it doesn't matter any more as long as we leave aside enough room for /boot, does it? Hello All Anyone have a workaround for booting the 5.2 LiveCD? I'm getting this error: no root yet, udev rule will write symlink Then I drop to a shell, with a message to create a symlink to /dev/root and then exit the shell. There is also a message that it cannot find the root filesystem. Is there a way to disable udev with grub? Thanks

Hello, I'm setting up a reverse proxy in Apache (httpd-2.2.3-11.el5_1.centos.3) I have some pages being served which contain hard-coded names of machines behind the proxy, which obviously do not resolve on the client side. I found an Apache config item called ProxyHTMLURLMap* which supposedly will allow me to re-write these hostnames, but can't seem to find the apache module to install
