Samba quota 'feature' fix?
Hey Guys and Gals,
I'm wondering if the quotas.c file is supposed to fix the problem where a
Linux x86 system running with the quota software causes corrupt files to be
written by Windows clients. I compiled it in and it didn't seem to make a
difference for the following problem.
In other words, if I enable quotas on my RH6.2 / 2.2.16-22 kernel box and
then write a file via Samba/Windows

[LLVMdev] Intel asm syntax and variable names
Hi all,
I've encountered an issue with x86 Intel asm syntax when using certain variable names.
If you look at the following example, where I try to do a mov to a memory location named "flags2", llvm- mc works fine:
>cat test_good.s
mov eax, flags2
>llvm-mc.exe -x86-asm-syntax=intel test_good.s -o -
.text
movl flags2, %eax
But if the memory location is named "flags", llvm-mc fails:
>cat test_bad.s
mov eax, flags
>llvm-mc.exe -x86-asm-synta...

[PATCH 0/2] Two build fixes for libldm
Two simple build fixes for libldm. Well, the first isn't a build
fix as such, but a code improvement.

Dangling MS Access DB Lock Files *.ldb
I have an intermittent problem with dangling MS Access DB lock files.
In a productive environment with N batch queus (each on a separate

a free queue by means of modifying a simple MS Access DB file
called "PRIM.mdb", which resides on a Samba 3.0.20 share. Each free
queue PC polls the same MS Access DB file every 60

Samba 4.0.7 doesn't work with Russian credentials
...ejects the login attempt with STATUS_LOGON_FAILURE. The second attempt is with the linux version smbclient 4.0.7, and the same credentials to the same server work. The only thing I see different in the requests are the flags sent:
First trace:
Flags:
1 Canonicalized Pathnames
Flags2:
1 Long names used
0 Security Signatures
1 Extended Attributes
Capabilities:
0 Large Files
0 Dfs
So the user and password are being sent via Unicode. To reproduce, the letters are just "asdf" on a Russian keyboard (I use winrus.com/keyboard.htm to type and then copy). Does...

Indeed, we didn't trace the above disable, so software state is still
on.

So here we save IRQ state, and unconditionally disable IRQs and trace
them disabled.

: Win XP Client does not remove directories
Hello mailinglist,
I have a strange problem, which occurs sometimes on some WinXP clients.
It is not 100% reproducable for me, but it returns regular.
The problem is, that somehow a user can't delete a directory. All files
in the directory will be removed successfully, but the directory itself
not.
Deleting with the Explorer or over the cmd-console returns in the same
result.
