[PATCH] irq: Exclude percpu IRQs from being fixed up
irq: Exclude percpu IRQs from being fixed up
Xen spin unlock uses spurious ipi "lock_kicker_irq" to wake up blocked vCPUs waiting on that lock. This irq should always be disabled. However, when Dom0 is shuting down, function fixup_irqs is called which unmasks all irqs. Function unmask_irq effectively re-enables lock_kicker_irq and its irq handler is invoked which reports bug and crashes Dom0.
This patch sets IRQ_PER_CPU flag in irq desc and excludes percpu IRQs from being fixed up when taking CPUs down.

[PATCH] add dom0 vcpu hotplug control
This patch adds new control messages for vcpu hotplug events. Via the
xm vcpu_hotplug sub-program, VCPUS in domains can be enabled/disabled
when CONFIG_HOTPLUG_CPU is enabled in the target domain''s kernel.
Currently there is nothing that tracks whether a VCPU is up or down.
My previous [1]patch added a new per-VCPU flag (VCPUF_down) which could
be used to keep track of which VCPUS are

[PATCH 0/25 -v2] paravirt_ops for x86_64, second round
Here is an slightly updated version of the paravirt_ops patch.
If your comments and criticism were welcome before, now it's even more!
There are some issues that are _not_ addressed in this revision, and here
are the causes:
* split debugreg into multiple functions, suggested by Andi:
- Me and jsfg agree that introducing more pvops (specially 14!) is
not worthwhile. So, although we do

[PATCH 0/24] paravirt_ops for unified x86 - that's me again!
Hey folks,
Here's a new spin of the pvops64 patch series.
We didn't get that many comments from the last time,
so it should be probably almost ready to get in. Heya!
>From the last version, the most notable changes are:
* consolidation of system.h, merging jeremy's comments about ordering
concerns
* consolidation of smp functions that goes through smp_ops. They're sharing

[PATCH 0/25][V3] pvops_64 last round (hopefully)
This is hopefully the last iteration of the pvops64 patch.
>From the last version, we have only one change, which is include/asm-x86_64/processor.h: There were still one survivor in raw asm.
Also, git screwed me up for some reason, and the 25th patch was missing the new files, paravirt.{c,h}. (although I do remember having git-add'ed it, but who knows...)
Andrew, could you please push it

Introducing paravirt_ops for x86_64
Hi folks,
After some time away from it, and a big rebase as a consequence, here is
the updated version of paravirt_ops for x86_64, heading to inclusion.
Your criticism is of course, very welcome.
Have fun

[PATCH v2 0/5] x86/xen: support booting PVH guest via standard boot path
Booting a Xen PVH guest requires a special boot entry as it is
mandatory to setup some Xen-specific interfaces rather early. When grub
or OVMF are used as boot loaders, however, those will fill the boot
parameters in zeropage and there is no longer a need to do something
PVH specific in the early boot path.
This patch series adds support for that scenario by identifying PVH

[PATCH 0/7] x86 paravirtualization infrastructure
The following patches introduce the core infrastructure needed to
paravirtualize the 32-bit x86 Linux kernel. This is done by moving
virtualization sensitive insn's or code paths to a function table,
paravirt_ops. This structure can be populated with hypervisor specific
calls or native stubs and currently support running on bare metal, VMI,
Xen, or Lhype. These patches apply to
