Bug#475553: not fixable with current logcheck
tags 475553 wontfix
thanks
While I completely agree that this /should/ be fixed in logcheck, it
can't be, since the logcheck rulefile format *sucks*, meaning
/every/ rule would have to be extended to support both styles.
I am sorry, but I have to mark this wontfix.
I hope that one day, someone will get up and write logfilter, which
I've started to draft on the wiki.logcheck.org page.

A home page now exists for you (it looks like I messed things up last
time and Akemi has fixed it) and you should also be able to edit all
pages under wiki.centos.org/de/

how to deliver when username and email differ
I have an Active Directory virtual setup and am using LDA to deliver to
local recipients. Today I found a big problem with my configuration and
not sure if this is fixable. Some of the users have multiple email
addresses and the %n variable for user doesn't match their actual
username. So if I have realname "Joe Bob" with a username of "joe" and
an email of "jbob at somewhere.com", deliver will try to deliver to "jbob"

ID Mapping
Hi,
I have a Samba 4.11.8 system running as an AD and a file server and I am wondering what sort of ID mapping is done in this situation.
I have uidNumber on each user set to use UIDs in the 1000 range but I find that they end up in the 3000000 range instead.
Is this a fixable problem, or a result of having the file server and DC as the same machine?
Thanks.

You are right it's not an optimization, it is a bug-fixing
transformation and I wasn't really planning on being totally silent
and covert about anything I find (fixable or not).
Regarding precision, without a minimum of real-world case studies not
much can be said, but I will insert fix code only for allocations that
do not escape (via returns, arguments, member fields or global
variables) and are deleted on an viable alternate CFG path. Granted, I
will...

Patch to add Unicode filename support for win32 flac
...prettiest code but it fulfills its primary purpose.
I tried to alter FLAC code as little as possible. It replaces argv with
utf-8 encoded version and only converts to usable Unicode for file
functions. That means printed texts and tags that contain non-ascii
characters will be broken, but it is fixable if these changes are
acceptable.
I compiled a test binary with MSVC 2012 and uploaded it to
http://www.saunalahti.fi/~cse/temp/flac-1.3pre2-mod.zip.
This compile includes the Wave64 fix.

centos 5 is reporting invalid mac address
I have not see this before...
Installing centos 5 on m2n-mx motherboard the onboard forcedeth
driver loads and says invalid mac address "97:42:40:F3:18:00"
Anyone else ever seen this before? Is it fixable? I went to support.asus.com
and searched for "invalid mac address" they say sorry no data.

Problem with not fixable dangling forward links
Hello List,
In preparation to update my samba ad-dc's running debian wheezy with
backported samba 4.6.8 to 4.7.3.
I'd like to fix two errors showing up in dbcheck whom hab been reported
by dbckech --cross-ncs for an long time but without causing any issues
so far.
I'm getting this error on my main dc

Advice on visual graph packages
...g for packages that are good at two things
1) Drawing directed graphs (i.e nodes and edges), both with single
and double headed arrows, as well as allowing for differences in line
width and solid versus dashed. Note: I've tried Rgraphviz here, but
have run into some problems (which seem fixable and I may go with it
in the end), and it doesn't satisfy need # 2 (which would be ideal if
there is a package that does both).
2) Allowing a user to create a directed graph, and have some text
object created that can be reprocessed easily reprocessed into a
matrix representation, or o...

grandstream bt100 help
...I have Grandstream BT-100 phone, btw, was working great with Asterisk.
I have upgraded the phone, and during upgrade something went wrong.
Right now when I power the phone I can only see some garbage on the LCD display.
does not react on any buttons, pings,.....
Maybe somebody has any idea if it is fixable or I can just say "goodbye" to my phone ?
Thank you in advance,
Bartosz

Bounce vs. Defer
...n my dovecot configuration file, a permissions problem
on the maildir, etc., deliver will bounce the message. I'm using
Postfix, and at some point used Maildrop, and I know that maildrop (and
I believe also Postfix's virtual transport) instead defer the message if
there is some kind of fixable problem (like permissions). Then, when
the problem is solved, you can flush the queue.
Would it be possible to add a defer option to deliver? It makes it
difficult to try out new options or different configurations because if
you have fairly regular incoming mail, the last thing you want is...
