fishead granule rates
Hi, What are the two granule rates in a fishead packet supposed to be for ? Since each of the streams has a corresponding fisbone packet with its own granulerate in it, and they can be all different, wha does the presentationtime num/den means ? Also for hte basetime num/den, since the UTC time which is also present in fishead seems to be a text...

Ogg index and Skeleton 4.0
...now output Skeleton 4.0 tracks. The differences between Skeleton 3.x and Skeleton 4.0 with OggIndex is: * The fisbone packet now includes a "Radix" field. * The fisbone packet now includes two new compulsory message headers; "Role" and "Name". * The fishead packet no longer includes "start time" and "end time" fields. * The index packets for each track now include the "start time" and "end time" fields for that track. The duration can now be calculated as the greatest end time of all active...

Ogg Index A-mod
...sion. We may as well get the index as right as we can first time. I like the ideas of storing the end time/max granulepos in the index packets, and of a b_max value for corruption detection. They're sensible. I will include them in the next version. We should try to avoid changing the 'fishead' packet to be incompatible with previous minor-versions. If we move the start/end time fields into the index packets, which is sensible, it would break backwards compatibility of this version with earlier versions of the same major version. Silvia et al wanted to add some new fields to the...

I kinda feel that this kind of human-readable metadata better belongs in CMML; the skeleton tells you where to go (for each locale), the CMML has language-specific metadata. > = Relations = > >...

Skeletal relations
...Human readable description of the track, intended for display in a user interface. This can be localized by appending '.<locale>' to Description. We could also copy general metadata here, e.g. title, creator, date, location, license. That's perhaps more interesting in the fishead packet which describes the stream as a whole rather than the individual tracks. Program: <string> Arbitrary tag for distinguishing a group of tracks from an unrelated group they happen to be multiplexed with. For example, three separate programs might be sent over the same link mult...

Indexing Ogg files for faster seeking
I've developed an indexer which embeds a keyframe index track in Ogg files. It embeds the index in its own track, so that players that don't understand or don't want to use the index can just ignore it. Ogg needs this to make seeking over networks faster and more efficient. Currently we must do a bisection search when seeking, which usually takes aound 6 HTTP requests, give or

handling multitrack Ogg
(cc-ed to theora-dev because that will reach a larger audience - please reply to only one mailing list.) Hi all, In discussions with the video accessibility subgroup of the W3C HTML working group, we are currently looking at how to deal with multitrack video, e.g. such video that has a main video and audio track, plus e.g. a sign language video track, an audio description audio track, a caption
