test80: assert/core debug info
...that system mailboxes are NFS mounted from the mail server
to the IMAP server, which may cause you to groan.
The attached debug session was done with gdb 6.3, also compiled
with gcc 4.0.1. Note that some of the variables I queried were
undefined (or otherwise unknown to gdb). The variable "first_nonexpunged"
at line 470 of mbox-sync-rewrite.c is undefined, and I wondered
why it was scoped so locally. The value of mails[idx] being
undefined at mbox-sync-rewrite.c:353 also seems like bad news.
Hope this helps.

I'm not sure how useful this is with optimization turned back on, but
here it is anyway. This was just a one off that happened last night:

Dovecot core debug
Hi all,
I have a Dovecot core that I am trying to track down, in an attempt to
replicate so I can log a bug report, and am hoping others might be able to
help me as I?m reaching my limit.
My working theory is that two user sessions are active at the same time,
one of the sessions is ?mid-search? (or perhaps in idle state) on a virtual
folder where the number of results is zero (due to a null

assertion failed: (need_space == (uoff_t)-mails[idx].space)
I'm running Dovecot dovecot-1.0.r13 on FreeBSD (FreeBSD 6.1-RELEASE-
p10). Mail is stored in mbox format (dovecot.conf after the msg).
Procmail delivers mail to subfolders under ~/.mail, locking using
dotfiles. One folder in particular for one user has an mbox file
~/.mail/Cron.
Quite often, I'll see that procmail processes are stacking up because
~/.mail/Cron.lock exists, and

virtual plugin question
Hello list,
After enabling virtual plugin in dovecot config, I got imap segmentation faults from time to time.
I can't say what event trigs this behavior, but in logs I see:
