data frame filtration
Hi, R-help:
I am a new user of R and am very pleased with R's features. Here I have
one question regarding data frame manipulation. I have a data frame look
like this:
Fruit Condition
1 Orange Good
2 Orange Bad
3 Orange Good
4 Orange Good
5 Orange Bad
6 Apple Good
7 Apple Bad
8 Apple Good
9 Apple Good
10 Apple Bad
11 Apple Good
12 Apple Bad

List filtration
Hello R-ologists,
Imagine you have a list "list" like so:
>list
[[1]]
[1] "IPI00776145.1" "IPI00776187.1"
[[2]]
[1] "Something" "IPI00807764.1" "IPI00807887.1"
[[3]]
[1] "IPI00807764.1"
[[4]]
[1] "Somethingelse"
What I need to achieve is a filtered list "list2" like so:
>list2
[[1]]

pruning data
...skips the rows
that contain a single NA value.
I want to know if there is a simple way to determine if a row (about
20 columns) contains a single NA value without running a loop that
checks each individual cell.
Thanks in advance.

Few questions
Hi,
I have a few problems with my shorewall configuration.
First of all, the option maclist seems no to be recognized.
I have this:
ghostwheel /etc/shorewall # cat interfaces | grep -v ''^#''
- eth1 detect dhcp,tcpflags,routefilter
loc eth0 detect tcpflags,maclist
When I look at shorewall-init.log, I found out:

repeated measurements with R
Hello All,
I have a more statistical question, and how this is implemented in R.
The problem is the following:
We have 2 different solutions (samples), which are filtered and then
the concentration of the filtrate is measured.
We want to evaluate how the filter proces and the concentration
measurement influences the detection of the difference of the two
solutions and which step has which

Matrix manipulation

Thank you very much.

trying to start shorewall-lite I get the folowing errors:
The first error i got was "scp: /var/lib/shorewall-lite: No such file

I hope i'm not missing something - I really don't see the reason to have

I happen to have a lot of NAs in some of the columns. Is that the problem?
Any input will be greatly appreciated.

Processing large datasets
...Aggregated tables going to be much smaller, like thousands rows per
observation day.
Then calculate basic statistic: mean, standard deviation, sums etc.
After stats are calculated, I need to perform some statistical
hypothesis tests.
So, my question is: what tool faster for data aggregation and filtration
on big datasets: mysql or R?
Thanks,
