[Bug 10621] New: Allow Filter Rule Imports Relative to Importer
...ba at haravikk.com
QAContact: rsync-qa at samba.org
Okay, so currently when forming an import rule to add filters to a sync, rsync
only supports either a path local to the source directory, or a system level
absolute path.
For example, say I have filter rules located at:
/Users/haravikk/FilterRules/Common.rules
/Users/haravikk/FilterRules/Mac.rules
If I wanted Mac.rules to include the contents of Common.rules I would need to
add a rule like so:
. /Users/haravikk/FilterRules/Common.rules
This is because a local rule won't work, i.e:
. Common.rules
What I would like to propose is a new...

Refiltering mails without loosing flags
Hello,
is there a way to refilter all mails in a folder without loosing all
flags and moving all messages in a different folder?
I have >10k mails in my Inbox and need to create new filterrules from
time to time. But there is no way to refilter my inbox without moving.
Atm i need to move all mails in a folder like "refilter" and then run
getmail/... to refilter the mails. It would be really nice to refilter
a existing
folder and just move mails with hits in the filter list....

Maybe when you tell what you're trying to achieve, we can give you
better advice.

Some questions concerning IPtables (& IMQ/SFQ)
...problems
with ADSL-connections) with IPtables? It wasn''t possible with IPchains,
so u32 had to be used. Now there is this nice little --tcp-flags
option. But I just don''t know if this is all I need. The u32 was
checking for packetsize too. So if there is a eqivalent to the u32
ACK-filterrule, what would it look like?
What I have found in the ML is this:
----
# Set ACK as prioritized traffic (ACK''s are less than 100 bytes)
$IPTABLES -t mangle -A MANGLE_MARK -p tcp -m length --length :100 -j
MARK --set-mark 1
$IPTABLES -t mangle -A MANGLE_MARK -p tcp -m length --length :100 -j...

prerouting does not effect filtering
I try to shape traffic using HTB and mark packets within iptables using
PREROUTING. But the filterrules seems to ignore the marks set with
PREROUTING
Only POSTROUTING marks are accepted.
First my configuration
I have a router connected to the internet via ADSL over interface ppp0.
eth0 is a tunnel to ppp0 and eth1 serves the LAN.
LAN is 192.168.57.0/24 on 10Mbit
ppp0 is 80.126.16.44 on 320Kbit...

I think mbox+procmail is a classic setup and wide used and good solution
for many usecases. Same setup we use many years.
We run ~2 mio mailboxes. our automated systems depends on this setup.
creating mailboxes, managing mailboxes, creating automated filterrules,
backupsystem to tell something of them. we can not switch our whole
mailsetup to work around this bug.
How to get a dump if dovecot not crashing but has wrong behaviour? I
would like to help and provide useful info, but it depends on kind of
problem.

1.0-test17
http://dovecot.org/test/
Just mbox fixes since 1.0-test16. The logic is simpler and more correct
now. Can anyone break it anymore? I actually tested it a while with
Evolution and several mailboxes and it didn't break at least
immediately. :)
Now maybe a few more days and I dare trying this thing myself with my
real mboxes (yes, I'm still using them).
