Revisiting mime-types and file extensions
...o allow content to be loaded from the file system,
with the mime type being inferrred from the file extension. Having
reviewed the archives, our current intent is to load as Markdown any
files with the extensions
* .markdown
* .mdtext
* .mdml (from [file-extensions], though not at http://www.filext.com)
Any suggestions for others we should also be handling?
Any comments/flames would be most welcome - and many thanks to everyone
who has worked to keep Markdown so clear and simple!
Thomas.

How to stop creation of :Zone.Identifier files?
...les always causes the creation of another file of the
same name with ":Zone.Identifier" on it. This is another stream in
NTFS, but of course in ext3 it can only be expressed as another file.
All it contains is a note on which IE security zone the file was
downloaded from.
(Precis: http://filext.com/file-extension/IDENTIFIER )
These files are annoying and useless. Is there any simple way to stop
them being generated?
