xentop reporting zero written sectors
Just moving a chunk of files from one filesysstem on xvba to another on xvdb, and was monitoring with xentop as it was taking longer than expected. The VBD_RD and VBD_WR counters were both clocking-up as expected, as was the VBD_RSECT counter, but the VBD_WSECT counter was stuck on zero, I toggled on the individual VBD device counters and these...

dealing with mke2fs -T option
Hi, I have a doubt if I use the mke2fs option the right way. I formatted two different disks, one with $ mke2fs -b 4096 -E stride=16 -m 1 -T news /dev/sdd and the other with $ mke2fs -b 4096 -E stride=16 -m 1 -T largefile4 /dev/sde sdd is supposed to get files between 8k and 16k. sde will handle files with a fixed size of 32Mb. Then I tried this : $ dd if=/dev/zero of=/mount-sdx/file bs=4k

Query regarding initramfs
Hi 1. Is it possible to load an initrd from initramfs ? How would you do this if the initramfs is being loaded dynamically in the kernel (ie having the initramfs as initrd ) Because in this case, you will say root = /dev/initrd and specify 'initrd' as your 'initramfs source file' How will you specify the second initrd source? Thanks Rachita.
