can you check also this location.
ls /usr/local/samba/lib/ldb/ |grep *.so
check if the upgrade didnt do anything on the ext4 filesystem.
Is apparmor enabled? yes, or disable it or check if the profile is correct the /usr/local/samba

DNS failure
I came in this morning to a to a DNS failure.
I think (could be wrong) that a kernel upgrade overnight is causing DNS to
failure.
Running "systemctl status samba-ad-dc.service" gives this:
samba-ad-dc.service - Samba AD DC
Loaded: loaded (/etc/systemd/system/samba-ad-dc.service; enabled; vendor
preset: enabled)
Active: failed (Result: exit-code) since Wed 2019-01-30 07:30:44 CST;
