Problem with "can''t dump anonymous class Class"
I submitted this earlier, but the web forums went down and I''ve screwed up
the thread, so I''m starting over.
I''m trying to built a document upload system. The system has a main
Document model with different subclasses for different types of documents.
With the code below, if I attempt to create a Document, it works fine, but
if I attempt to use one of the subclasses, I

can''t dump anonymous class Class
I''m trying to create a document upload system, where most of the code is
the super class Document and just the path to file on the system is
controlled by the sub classes. When I attempt to use my code, I get the
following when I try to save the document.

Refresh not working with launchd service provider?
Hi,
Refresh doesn''t seem to be working with the launched service provider on OS X Lion (10.7.4).
I''ve come up with a simple "service" script, plist file and puppet script to apply to demonstrate. The problem.
Here''s the shell script which logs an initial starting message and then just loops logging a "Still running…" message.

While I've never tried it, it's my understanding that you can use calibre to remove the drm encryption on a purchased ebook so you can read it with

A warning in gzcon but not in gzfile
Hi all,
I used `gzfile` and `gzcon` to read a compressed file but I found that
`gzcon` gave me a different result than `gzfile`. It seems like the `gzcon`
does not handle the data correctly. I have posted an example below. In the
example, a portion of a compressed file is downloaded from Google Cloud as
a raw vector, and the data is saved into a temp file. If I use ` gzfile` to
read the file, it

Package Building under Windows with MikTeX 2.6
Dear WizaRds,
I wrote a small function in R and would like to create a package. The
necessary documentation is done, Rtools etc. are installed and I am
still unable to complete the process under Windows. I did extensive
research in the archives and read the Murdoch-Sutherland website on the
Rtools and MikTeX hints. I realize that I understand only half or less
of what is said there

Converting "factors" to "numeric" in a dataframe
I am currently trying to write a program that minimises the amount of work
required for “auditable” qPCR data. At the moment I am using an Excel (.csv)
spreadsheet as source data that has been transposed to the column format
required for R to read. Unfortunately, this means I have* *to manually
confirm the whole data set prior to doing any analysis, which is taking a
considerable amount of time!

Help on Samba 4
We are trying to install Samba 4 on a RHEL4 update 4 machine and are facing
problems. We have downloaded the samba4 tar ball from
http://repo.or.cz/w/Samba.git/snapshot/master.tar.gz
After untarring it we have done
cd source4
./autogen.sh
./configure
But at this stage itself we are getting the following error:

patch: allow R CMD build exclude patterns to match symlinks
The following is a patch (svn diff) for the R CMD build script that
calculates exclude patterns after the tar/untar step rather than before. The
perl find() function, used in the calculation of the exclude patterns,
ignores symlinks, which meant that directory symlinks were not considered
for exclusion. Since the tar/untar step resolves (copies) symlinks, this
works around that limitation.
