A few more details about my configuration: I am using SPEEX encoder version 1.1.12 I am encoding a narrowband (8KHz) wav file The exact commands I issue are: speexenc --bitrate 8000 file.wav file8.spx speexenc --bitrate 10000 file.wav file10.spx Both of the encoded files, file8.spx and file10.spx are the same size. I have the following situation: file2 on remote host and file1 on localhost. file1 and file2 are mostly the same. Simply running rsync remotehost:file2 file2 will actually transfer the entire file. Hi list, I have an 44100 Hz file with human voice, stereo with 16Bit. When convertig this to 8 kHz, mono I loose a lot of quality and have some ground noise. I tried several sox options but without success. Can somebody help.... best regards Thomas
