viewing, if not editing, NFSv4 ACL's from Samba shares
Good morning, folks. I'm involved in a project to enforce NFSv4 ACL's across a variety of storage platforms, in particular NetApps sharing NFS. That works fiine with the NetApp NFS qtrees, but we'd like to share those with CIFS clients as well. This works, and restricts access the way we expect NFSv4 ACL's to work, but the Windows clients cannot view any of the security settings on the directories or files. Cue the music, and enter Samba 3.5.2. I&...

Fw: Interconnecting to an Altigen PBX?
Has anyone got Asterisk talking successfully to an Altigen PBX using h323? I can successfully make calls from Asterisk to Altigen, but calls from Altigen to Asterisk get a fast busy. There seems to be a lack of h323 example files (or maybe I'm looking in the wrong places) as well as a severe lack of h323 documentation from Altigen. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

issue with SE/Linux - sshd not giving access to /dev/pts/[n]
...derstand this correctly, there is a bug somewhere in either sshd or pam where control of the tty is given at the wrong point, or is not given at all. (russell talks of relabelling the tty, i'm not sure what that would involve.) ... except if the user is root :) :) whereupon magically it works fiine :) okay, so does anyone on the openssh or pam lists understand what this might about? does it ring any bells? l.
