Passenger problem
I''ve used the Slicehost Intrepid instructions (http:// articles.slicehost.com/ubuntu-intrepid) to install a new Ubuntu server with Ruby, Rails and passenger. Everything seems to be working OK, save for one thing: my application only service up the files that are in its public folder. The Passenger gem is installed. I''ve done this whole process before without any problem. Any

I got most of those issues figued out except one now when i get an email from my system it has a title of this Cron <root at localhost> run-parts /etc/cron.daily with this message /etc/cron.daily/0logwatch: Recipient names must be specified I have my aliases set right and have been googling for an answer and just...

About DCC-garch model...
Hi, everyone, I currently run into a problem about DCC-Garch model. I use the package cc-garch and the function dcc.estimation. One of the output of this function is DCC matrix, which shows conditional correlation matrix at every time period you gives. However, I cannot figue out how the function calculate the conditional correlation matrix at the first time period, since there is no data to be conditioned... How do we usually deal with the first period data of GARCH model? Could anyone suggest any paper about the DCC GARCH model, including how to deal with the first ti...

I need to figue out how to calculate the modulus, exponent and base - the parts that make up a key for encryption and I was just wondering if someone knows where I can find good documention for OpenSSL::PKey::RSA. I know about http://www.ruby-doc.org/stdlib/ but there seems to be a lot missing from this documentio...

zpool iostat question
Hello ZFSland, Is there any significance in the fact that the bandwidth/read figures for a simple cpio into a ZFS filesystem should be multiples of 21.3K (when non-zero) as follows? What could determine this figure? Do I need to read a manpage? ;-) Thanks... Sean. ----- [root at global:/36g2] # zpool iostat 3 capacity operations bandwidth pool used avail read

Multi petabyte gluster
Did you test healing by increasing disperse.shd-max-threads? What is your heal times per brick now? Multi petabyte gluster
We are using 3.10 and have a 7 PB cluster. We decided against 16+3 as the rebuild time are bottlenecked by matrix operations which scale as the square of the number of data stripes. There are some savings because of larger data chunks but we ended up using 8+3 and heal times are about half compared to 16+3. -Alastair On 30 June 2017 at 02:22, Serkan ?oban <cobanserkan at gmail.com>

significance in difference of proportions
Hello, I'm looking for some guidance with the following problem: I've 2 samples A (111 items) and B (10 items) drawn from the same unknown population. Witihn A I find 9 "positives" and in B 0 positives. I'd like to know if the 2 samples A and B are different, ie is there a way to find out whether the number of "positives" is significantly different in A and B?

lme syntax for P&B examples
Hi helpeRs, I've been working through some examples in Pinhiero & Bates( 2000) trying to understand how to translate to the new Lme4 syntax but without much luck. Below is what I think I should do, but either the answers don't come out the same or I get errors. In the Oxide problems I'm particularly interested in obtaining the levels coeficients but this options no longer seems

...cribe> List-Archive: http://lists.samba.org/pipermail/samba/ Oliver - So far I have installed sp2 on 4 machines and 2 have had major problems. One wouldn't boot because sp2 upgrades USB and I had a USB mouse. I had to change the mouse out. Small problem but it wasted a lot of time to figue out what the conflict was. The other problem was even bigger as sp2 could not see the proper Windows partition because, according to Microsoft, it was a dual boot machine with Lilo installed.... I know that doesn't answer your question re: Samba concerns but I wouldn't instal it unless yo...
