Samba spoolfile name
L.S. Situation: I am running Samba 2.2.7a as my DPC in a small business network with win98/ME clients. A big Fiery printer/scanner/copier device is also part of this network. It has its own printserver. Since Win98/ME can not print to an LPD queue directly, I have setup Samba to spool the printjobs send by the clients to the Fiery server. All is working well, but there is a small problem. This Fiery server is c...

There was an old version in /usr/lib/dovecot/modules/sieve/, whereas the new one was installed into /usr/local/lib/dovecot/sieve/. That all works now, and no segfault. Thanks for all your help and patience. Unfortunately my vacation

Better cleanup of example session during check
I have a couple of packages (?fiery? and ?reqres') that uses a mock of a rook request for their examples. The mock is an R6 object containing a rawConnection, along with a finalizer that closes this connection when the object is removed. So far so good. I?ve recently been getting CRAN errors due to the rawConnection not being clo...

Printing Problem
...print on one of them, the printing application on a Windows XP Professional client freezes and a Windows 2000 client reports an error message, that there is a problem with the printer. The other printers work fine on both machines. Two days ago, it worked without problems. The printer is a Minolta Fiery X3e and on the web interface the status is "up and running". Printing directly over the printer's Web Interface works. Here is my configuration: Red Hat Linux release 9 (Shrike), Samba 3.0.2 Printing with Cups smb.conf: [global] workgroup = OLYMP server string = MARS host...

MP3s in /var/lib/asterisk/mohmp3 causes Asterisk crash
Hi All, I have just compiled the newest version of mpg123 on a RedHat 9.0 system (mpg321 has not been installed) and I am using the newest CVS version of asterisk. Whenever I place any mp3 files in the /var/lib/asterisk/mohmp3/ directory, Asterisk crashes a horrible fiery death. If mp3s exist in that directory, then I can't even start Asterisk. If I start it without files then copy them over, then it crashes. If I use the mp3player() app then it crashes. Using mpg123 -t filename.mp3 seems to be fine. If you have any idea's on things I can test for,...

...or inconsistencies with the style guidelines if contributors can agree to what they are and what would be a superior alternative. Finally: They have a nice script for c++ which will check for many things. > It is not a nice script. Trust me. I use it every day, and I hate it with a burning, fiery passion. Read the python code. It is not nice, it is terrible. It is an atrocity. It is everything that is bad about trying to "parse" C++ with regular expressions and python hacks, built up w/o any overarching design or cohesion over years. I await the day we can kill it off and use a r...

HP Jetdirect, Intel Netport, Samba, And Windows XP
Hello, I have a bunch of Windows XP Pro machines, Samba 2.2.4, and several plotters on Jetdirect cards, and several printers on Netport 10/100 Muli-port network print servers. I have successfully configured Samba 2.2.4 to allow Windows XP to join the domain controlled by Samba and automaticaly create its own computer account on Samba. I would now like to setup Samba to share all the printers

Probably this has come up before... but have we considered just adopting the Google style guidlines and maybe modifying it in some places? ....0.5a)/SCO Unix), but my main file server on another (Samba (2.2.1a)/Linux). I moved the wins support to the Linux server, and at the same time I made the Linux server the Domain Master Browser, but now some devices have dissapeared from the network. The devices in question are colour copiers with Fiery RIPs. These RIPs do NOT have any means to set anything other than the device name and basic IP parameters (address, netmask, gateway). I am not aware of any changes having been made to their configs. On the other hand, nmblookup gives me this result (same for both printers) : from Linux server :...

Windows Printing VIA Samba
I've was wondering if someone could help me out with some printing issues. I'm trying to store print drivers on my Samba PDC so that windows clients can access my network printers. I have 3 printers (X12 Fiery, HP 4000 PCL5, Epson). I used to use a Win2K server and I could add the printers through the usual method. I have created my [print$] share and the windows drivers directory on the Samba PDC. However, I'm having trouble displaying my printers so I can add them into the directory (as stated i...
