Package fgui returns error: Object of type closure is not subsettable
...into three
columns, Per (value 1), Day (value 2) and Hour (value 24)
Third: Finding the summary statistics of the relevant variables from the
data input using the first function.
All the functions are working fine in R console. However, when I tried to
use the 'guiv' function from the 'fgui' package, the last two functions are
returning the error: 'Object of type closure is not subsettable'. The guiv
function just provides a GUI to enter the function arguments.
guiv works well with the first function but returns an error only with the
second and third functions. What coul...

normally ignore this as a minor annoyance but now I wish to ask
students to install a number of often used packages by sourcing an R

Here is an example:

Access R Help Content From R
Have UI that simplifies running code from another (internal) package,
allowing user to set values on fields I basically grabbed from results
of calls to formals() for various functions. That works fine for the
most part. But it was requested to investigate some type of popup help
or something for each field.
Since I already wrote the information in the dot-Rd files for what
should be displayed,

Generating GUI for r-scripts
Hi,
I have developed some scripts that basically ask for input tab-limited format files, do some processing, and output several pictures or csv. Now I need to have some gui to wrap on top of the scripts, so that end-users can select their input files, adjust some parameters for processing, and select output folder or filenames.
Please advice me if there is any tools or project suitable for

Building GUI for custom R application
HI R users,
I would appreciate information/examples/suggestions on building GUIs
for R applications.
I am currently working on a project that would require the following
functionalities :
1) Display a window to the user. Provide a function to scan local
drive and choose dataset file.
2) Display the column names for the user to choose the dependent
variable and the independent variables.
3) Fit

possible bug in formals
Hi,
I am a little bit surprised by the following output of
'formals'. Is this the intended behavior?
> f <- function(a=1,b=-1) { a+b }
> class(formals(f)$a)
[1] "numeric"
> class(formals(f)$b)
[1] "call"

Building Custom GUIs for R
I am looking to build simple GUIs based on the R codes I have. The main
objective is to hide the scary R codes from non-programming people and make
it easier for them to try out different inputs.
For example,
1. The GUI will have means to upload a csv file which will be read by the R
code.
2. A button to preprocess data (carried out by a R function behind)
3. A button to build some models

R user interface
Hi R,
I have a an excel file with a lot of data. I need to create an user
interface in R, which has one single screen. It needs to contain a right
pane containing the click buttons for different countries (say). If the
user clicks a country, then a chart needs to be created for that
country, taking the data from Excel. Is this possible and which package
helps me in doing this? Many thanks in

Creating GUIs for R
Hi all,
I have looked around for help on creating GUIs for R, but haven't found
anything. I would be interested in any advice or webpages that have
information on the best language, tutorials etc. for creating simple GUIs.
Mainly I want to do this as a heuristic exercise.
Thanks for any help.
