Trouble with Homes
I am having trouble with getting my Homes section to work properly. When I browse to the server from a Windows client, I can see my home directory. However, when I try to access it, it challenges me for a userID and password. No matter what I enter, I will not allow me access. Can someone point me in the right direction to solve this? SAMBA Home Directories with AD authentication
Ok, question ... I have a linux box running samba with AD authentication and its all working fine, home directories get created the first time a user logs into the box etc. But ... I can't get the valid users = to work with domain authentication using %S %U or whichever what I have to do is manually chmod g-rx and then it restricts it so only the owner can access it, but I was hoping I

hiding dot files and the printer
Hi. Running Samba 3.0.20 on Slackware 10.2.
