search for: ferret_class

Hi, I have a model class like so: class Candidate < ActiveRecord::Base validates_presence_of :name @@index = FerretConfig::INDEX def self.after_destroy puts "Ferret: after_destroy called" @@index.query_delete("+id:#{self.id} +ferret_class:#{self.class.name}") optimize_index end end But when I delete a record, the after_destroy is never called. Nothing shown on logs from the puts statement. Am I missing something? Thanks, Vamsee.

I have multiple models all with: acts_as_ferret :fields => [...] (models = profiles, blogs, comments ) When I restart the server and perform any crud operation on one of the above models, the index is created/updated. If I then go and perform any crud operation on ANOTHER model, ...the index from that first model is being updated. Any ideas? Can acts_as_ferret handle this? Thanks

I decided to make a mixin for ActiveRecord as it seemed the simplest possible solution and I ended up making this into a plugin.
