low-memory vorbis decoding
Hi all, Does anyone have any experience porting libvorbis to platforms with small total memory sizes? Specifically, I'm trying to figure out if it's feasible to run Ogg Vorbis decoding on one of the PlayStation 3's SPU's -- secondary processors with only 256kb of local memory. It looks like out of the box the memory footprint of libvorbis is roughly: ~130k code ~60k static

Solaris 10 Configure failure
...ap=yes \ --with-krb5=/usr I don't run Solaris 10 anymore. I moved to Solaris 11, which provides the latest Samba 3.x binaries (3.6.25) along with gcc and openldap , but with out any badlock back ported patches. But it was really easy to compile Samba 4.x. Currently running version 3.6.25 on a SPARC Solaris 10 64 bit server. Due to CVE-2016-2118 need to upgrade to version 4.2.11 / 4.3.8 / 4.4.2 No Solaris package available. Configure script fails with “Couldn't determine size of 'bool'” Is it possible to install these versions on Solaris 10 and if so how? Many Thanks Steve. artifacting with many channels
Hi all, I am using oggenc to compress multichannel audio streams (4-10 channels) and am having some severe artifacting on decode. What seems to be happening is that at times when one channel is silent, one or more of the other channels will be badly mangled. Simply reordering the channels seems to fix the problem sometimes, but not predictably. It also seems to be independent of quality

smbd processes never go away
...dozens of smbd processes are getting started and not going away. When the new smbd process appears, at first it show us up as being run by the client, but when the client disconnects, that same smbd processes appears under root's name. feature idea for wine : stereo 3D
NVidia is pushing a 200 dollar product which is nothing more than shutter glasses and ties into DirectX 10, encouraging people to move to Vista, which I personally believe is yet another nail in the coffen of closing the PC platform. Now I think a better idea would be to add a feature to wine that permits stereo imaging to be added to any program that makes use of 3D features in wine, to somehow

Question about how TC enforces bandwidth limiting
Hello, I run one of my PCs as my personal router, with iptables+tc to control traffic and be my firewall. In TC, I use a combination of htb, qdisc and sfq (as well as prio) to classify bandwidth. In my current setup, I have 10 classifications of my bandwidth. (Even I admit this is probably more than I need, but at this point I''m still learning, so I''ll just leave them be.)

To owners of xbox360 joysticks..
I'm looking for people who have an xbox360 joystick to help run some tests so I can get information on implementing xinput for wine. The more 360 joysticks plugged in the better. Can you please go to the forum post I made and test: http://forum.freegamedev.net/index.php?t=msg&th=1980&start=0 Thanks, Andrew
