PBX appliances
Hi List,
Does anyone have experiences to relate on the various Asterisk-based PBX
appliances out there?
Like the Aastra 160, Digium S844i, etc.
Do the Epygi Quadro and Grandstream GXE also use Asterisk?
Thanks,
Femi

SIP configuration issues
...uded my OS version information, the Asterisk version information,
my SIP.conf and my extensions.conf (ignore the Gtalk integration stuff: not
relevant). The mess (I believe) occurs about midway through the SIP
debugging output: it executes the actual Dial command to talk to Broadvoice,
but it sends femi@<externip> as the From: address, as opposed to sending my
broadvoice username and password (which I'm assuming is what it needs to
do). At this point Broadvoice throws a 403 Forbidden (as I would expect) and
Asterisk reports it as a Congested/Busy error (which seems wrong).
Thanks, and p...

Asterisk scalability
Hello,
I wonder how Asterisk scales when we increment the Core's or CPU's of
one computer.
I see that Asterisk is only one process (I guess that it uses threads).
But because Asterisk is only one process, this process is always
executed in the same CPU. So we can have a 8 Cores server, with one Core
running Asterisk, another Core running operating system stuff/other
small daemons and 6

Getting Postfix Admin's DB to work with Postfix's/Dovecot's MySQL DB
Hi all,
I followed the instructions here:
http://library.linode.com/email/postfix/dovecot-mysql-centos-5
to configure Postfix to work with MySQL and Dovecot before discovering
PostfixAdmin (I was searching for a visual tool for creating users).
Since I had created MySQL database already for virtual domains and user
mailboxes (following the instructions I linked to earlier)

Request for help with dovecot.conf file: configured to work with MySQL and Postfix.
Greetings,
I have CentOS 6.2 running on our server with a VPS provider (Linode.com).
I need to configure Postfix, dovecot, MySQL to work for virtual domains
(multiple domains on our server).
The only instructions for setting up Email with Postfix, Dovecot and MySQL
my host provides is for the configuration on CentOS 5 which is here:

The easiest thing is just to interrupt grub at boot (hit "Esc"), then
edit the kernel command line there....

Fanless solution
Hi there,
I'm looking for a compact fanless solution preferrably wall mountable and
not too exotic. It needs to be commercial grade. I don't really consider
most of the Via ITX solutions I have seen commercial grade but perhaps
someone can convince me otherwise.
This solution is about the best I have found. Maybe a bit on the exotic
side but I like the fact it is wall mountable AND

Can Asterisk be used as a switch for a 10,000-user network? What hardware,

If I want to implement SS7 signaling to another telco, what gateway solution

Thanks in advance for answering my numerous questions

Cisco vs Asterisk
Hello all,
A client of us, is thinking to migrate their actual PBX to a Cisco
CallManager. We want to sell him an asterisk box to complement the
Cisco PBX.
I think to use asterisk as a Voicemail server (Replazing the Cisco Unity)
Has asterisk all the functionalities to replace a CIsco Unity server?
Which functionalities Cisco Unity has than asterisk could cover?
How could asterisk complement the
