Calculated mean value based on another column bin from dataframe.
Dear list,
I have a dataframe with two column as fellow.

0.23474 0.72079
0.11037 0.83760

now I really may have a problem, yuck
Morning,
Well I ordered a Windows Server 2008 Standard for a need around here and
after just spending an hour with Dell support (nice fellow, not his fault)
I find that now the 2008 Server is too *new* for the Samba NT4 PDC model.
I got this box joined fine with my domain, but any time I try to log

talks to OpenLDAP) the box

Looking for some fellow racers
Check out Track Masters: http://tm.darkjedi.org
15 drivers that love to race. They've got a great system of organization that splits the group into three teams: lots of ranks, many awards, and plenty of events and activities to participate in.

Good luck out there!

Does anybody know Dr. Francis T. Seow, the former Solicitor-General from
the Republic of Singapore? I want to contact him but can't seem to find
his email address or telephone number on the internet. Could you help me?
Do you also know how I can contact all the justices of the

Boot CentOS 5 to command line
Hi fellows,
Pretty new to CentOS.
I was trying to find a way to boot CentOS into command prompt instead of GUI
(or without loading any services).
Tried using 'Crl+Alt+F1' at the boot process, but, that holds the screen at
mounting and doing fstab and doesn't proceed further.
Is there anyother way...

Sequence for repeated numbers
Hello fellows,
I would like to create a sequence for repeated numbers in a dataset. For
example:
ID <- c(1:20)
grade <- c(4,4,4,5,5,7,7,7,7,8,8,8,9,9,9,9,9,10,10,10)
Data:
ID Grade
1 4
2 4
3 4
4 5
5 5
6 7
7 7
8 7
9 7

I would like to create a variable "sequence":

Sorry, maybe it's easy but I haven't found anything useful:
how can I obtain a list C that contains all the members in the list B that are not in list A? This are lists of nanes, not numbers!
Thank you

Auto-save possible in R?
Hello fellow R'ers, I have a simple calculation with a very large data set
being generated (34.9 million values) on a somewhat unreliable XP box that
will likely take ~ 74hrs. I wanted to know if there is a way to have my
script automatically "save.image()" throughout the calculation in case of a
crash. This could be on the basis of output generated or time elapsed. I

"Failed-to-restart-avahi-dnsconfd-service" error when I try to install R binary.
In the past I have been told, very firmly, by those who are
knowledgeable that when upgrading R I should install the binary R
provided for the Ubuntu OS.
Being a docile and biddable young ( :-) ) fellow, I have tried to do so,
following the instructions made available at:

I have made sure that the line
