hotplug vcpu problem to Centos 5.2 DomU
My dom0 is uing Centos 5.2 x64. I have just upgraded Xen from 3.3.0 to 3.3.1. After upgraded, I find that I cannot hotplug additional vcpu anymore. I have a domU "linux1" which is a paravirtualized vm with centos 5.2. I try to "xm vcpu-set linux1 4", it does not have any error message, but those vcpu cannot be displayed. I also tried to add vcpu using "virsh setvcpus

about dom0 disconnection when domU reboot
Hello, I have installed rpm version of xen 3.4.3+ libvirt 0.7.0-6 on my server with Centos 5.4 (kernel 2.6.18-238.12.1.el5xen) When I run reboot a domU (para virtualized Linux) by command "virsh reboot [vm]", sometimes domU cannot be rebooted but sometimes can, pattern is random. Also sometimes when domU reboots by "virsh reboot [vm]" , my ssh connection to dom0

Windows license on Xen 3.3
Hi all, I would like to run 10 x Windows 2003 server(enterprise edition) guests VM on top of my Xen3.3 box. Each guest vm need 5 terminal service connections. I am not sure how to buy the guest license. I think 2 possible ways, can anyone give some idea to me: 1. buy 10 x Enterprise edition license and buy 5 TS CAL to each window license 2. buy 1 x datacenter edition license

Question about adding CPU/RAM to Windows DomU
I have a DomU(HVM) installed with Windows 2003 server. I try to add ram and cpu dynamically (tried both virsh and xm), the command has no error. But in Windows, I cannot see the changes. Finally I rebooted the Windows, and then ram/cpu are adjusted. I want to know it is limitation of Windows? Or Xen HVM? If using para-virtualization method, I can add ram/cpu dynamically to the para-virtualized

Xen sound card for Windows DomU
I am using xen3.3.1, I added following 2 options in the DomU config file which is a Win2k3 server(64bit). When I start the DomU, it shows a multimedia audio controller detected, but no driver suitable. Samba 3 performance issue
Hi all, I have a Samba 3 Linux server in a data centre where has 100M bandwidth to Internet. My Samba clients are all in remote office, each office has 40M bandwidth to Internet. The ping time from office to data centre is about 10ms to 15ms. Some of the samba clients try to play some mpeg 4 movies directly from samba server, but the movie can not be played smooth.
