Network Boot IP Configuration Dilemma
...how really good the
syslinux/pxelinux utilities already are. 3 years ago, when etherboot
was a less vendor specific protocol, I used etherboot/mknbi much more,
but now that numerous vendor's come with PXE already in firmware, I've
almost completely switched over to PXE/pxelinux!

...ich I tested. The IP-PNP routine in the kernel
doesn't modify values if the option values are not
explicitly specified. IPAPPEND doesn't provide the
<device> option and <autoconf> option, so the values
for the options set by the previous APPEND will
survive.
