Canon PIXMA mg5420 or HP Photo Smart 7520
...e Canon PIXMA mg5420 or the HP Photo Smart 7520. There are Linux drivers for the Photosmart which are supposed to handle both the printer and the scanner. But in my research I haven't found (yet) anyone who's gotten the scanner to work with Linux on the Photosmart, let alone the sheet feeder for it. Allegedly there are instructions and requirements for using the fax on Linux. But I'd like to hear from someone who has actually gotten all of this working on Linux (either debian or centos) and which version of which distro is needed. The Canon PIXMA mg5420 doesn't have a fax...

...he Icecast servers itself in order to make it undependable of the feeding sources. The remote source will play a file or several files with an announcement that the broadcast is interrupted etc ... over and over. In this way there will always be an audio stream even during maintenance of the stream feeders. Done some reading how to set-up such a scheme and I believe I do understand how to configure the Icast servers for fallback and the override feature. Now here comes where I need your advice... Since the whole thing is depending on the availability of the /backup source, generated on the Icecast...

Issue with HP Officejet 6500 on CentOS 5.5
I just picked one of these up to replace my 4315, which broke (I think the feeder roller gear broke from an overstuffed feeder), but it's giving me problems. I had no trouble configuring it to print, but it doesn't appear in lsusb and xsane can't find it, so I can't scan with it, which is the main reason I bought it in the first place. I've tried restarting...

[LLVMdev] Buildbot skipping commits?
Hi, Neither of my commits so far today have shown up in the buildbot console view. They aren't showing up in the list of changes reported by the changesource either. For example: http://lab.llvm.org:8011/changes/45724 shows r194805, then http://lab.llvm.org:8011/changes/45725 shows r194807. My commit is the r194806 that should be between them. Similarly change 45728 is r194810, and change

Printing problems with w2k clients
...k clients: We use two Samba server (one is PDC and the other is Print-Server - operate in security=server mode with password server=PDC). All printers are configured on the Print-Server with the Windows NT Printer Wizzard: uploading driver for W9x, NT 4.0 and W2k; setting misc. options, like Paper feeder and so on .. . So far so good! Printing from W9x and NT 4.0 Clients is working without any problems! But the W2k Clients get a "Access denied" after the first print job! When I look into a level 6 log, I see: [2002/02/20 14:58:03, 3] lib/util_seaccess.c:se_access_check(244) se_access_...

[repost] Samba - Cups - WinXP SP2 Client
...ed. I have then added the Printers to samba using this howto: http://de.samba.org/samba/docs/man/Samba-Guide/happy.html#id2550472 I have 2 problems. 1. Although Printing a Test Page with Cups prints from the right Paper Feed, printing a Test Page from the Windows Client prints it from the default feeder. BUT with a very good response time and speed. IF I change the Client Side Drivers to use tray2 for this printer, The Response Time of PrintJobs is 4 times higher than before. Although Printing is possible, the time to print a document is so high, that users can go and grab a cup of coffee in betwe...

Running tests on OS X 10.10 vs "Killed: 9"
Hi, building 'check-all' on any of my machines running OS X 10.10 usually fails because a few tests fail due to some processes being killed by the kernel (there's always "Killed: 9" somewhere in lit's error output). Everything's fine on 10.9. How do folks deal with this? Don't use 10.10 for building llvm? Is there some tweakable to tell the kernel "please

Asterisk TDM card connected to phone linesAND fax line
...fer it. Of course, I still use ip lines through teliax and voipjet and they are great. Now I have 8 ip phones in 5 locations, and I couldn't be happier. I do however have a static and volume problem on the zaptel 4 port card, but working on it... My experience with faxes is that, a document feeder machine is a must, and although internet based fax sounds good, when your in a rush it just does not cut it. But both methods are good, and I haven't yet had time to investigate more this problem.
