I do not believe that that is the problem, in my case it clearly
seems to be a pitch / swizzle problem rather then a synchronizarion
problem, here is what my desktop with gnome shell looks like when
using DRI2:
https://fedorapeople.org/~jwrdegoede/nv46-gnome-shell-good.jpg
And this is what it looks like when using DRI3:

Yep, that did it. Thanks!
I see about 1.35 seconds time improvement, with `supermin` from Git +
QEMU & the add patch[1].
https://kashyapc.fedorapeople.org/virt/stdouts/faster-supermin-custom-qemu-appliance-boot-analysis.txt
This is with `supermin` from F23, and QEMU from Git (without adding the
'optionrom' patch):

Ok, here is a MMT trace of vectorAdd:

[LLVMdev] Problem with DragonEgg 3.3rc2 on Fedora 19 Beta
...dora 19 beta, x86_64), it works fine. When I compile it with gcc
-fplugin=dragonegg, I get an executable that doesn't seem to execute the
printf inside the loop.
The C program, executables from gcc and gcc -fplugin=dragonegg, and
disassemblies of the .o files can be found here:
http://fedorapeople.org/~brouhaha/dragonegg/
If anyone would care to take a look at this, I can provide account
credentials to ssh into the system I'm using.
Thanks!

clang and -D_FORTIFY_SOURCE=1
...more recently, to this fedora thread where clang/llvm -D_FORTIFY_SOURCE
support is claimed to be only partial:
https://pagure.io/fesco/issue/2020
I dig into the glibc headers in order to have a better understanding of what's
going on, and wrote my notes here:
https://sergesanspaille.fedorapeople.org/fortify_source_requirements.rst
TL;DR: clang does provide a similar compile-time checking as gcc, but no runtime
checking. To assert that I wrote a small test suite:
https://github.com/serge-sans-paille/fortify-test-suite
And indeed, clang doesn't pass it, mostly because it turns cal...

kvm-69
hi guys,
I came across Gerd Hoffmann's repo at
http://kraxel.fedorapeople.org/el5/ which seems to have a much newer KVM
for EL5 - has anyone managed to get that working ? Even trying with
the kver he used ( 2.6.18-53.el5 ) does not seem to satisfy all required
symbols.

Steam for Linux Fedora 17 -> CentOS 6.x
Can somebody contact "Spot" and ask him if Steam for Linux can be
compiled on CentOS 6.x? http://spot.fedorapeople.org/steam/
or will someone try it from src rpm's (same folder)?
or is someone willing to take over building the rpm the old fashioned
way from https://github.com/xvitaly/steamrpm ?
I am to relocate to another town for new job and can not afford the
spare time :-/

Re: [Fedora-xen] another xen build and pvops kernel
Just wondering why kernel-2.6.32.23-170.xendom0.fc12.src.rpm cannot make itself
into F14. It seems pretty stable. Why it cannot be just a package available via "yum install" . Anyway Fedora''s Libvirt has the best compatibility with Xen 4.0.1.
It''s not too late switch back to Xen with PVOPS kernel. XenLinux 2.6.34.7 aka Suse
is really dangerous . It outperforms pvops

rpm for r8168
...anything,
except for the important things which always go under the radar unnoticed)
I ripped the r1000 rpm from rpmforge and created a dkms based rpm for
the r8168 driver.
Since others might find a use for it too, I have uploaded the rpm
(and it's corresponding source) at
http://wolfy.fedorapeople.org/dkms-r8168/. I am also thinking of linking
to it from the above mentioned wiki page. What do you think ?

glusterd vs. glusterfsd
I'm running version 3.3.0 on Fedora16-x86_64. The official(?) RPMs
ship two init scripts, glusterd and glusterfsd. I've googled a bit,
and I can't figure out what the purpose is for each of them. I know
that I need one of them, but I can't tell which for sure. There's no
man page for either, and running them with --help returns the same
exact output. Do they have separate

Debugging INVALID_OPCODE / MULTIPLE_WARP_ERRORS ?
...; have an exit and it just goes off executing into the ether?
Sorry I only included a small bit of the program in my original mail
because I found the use of "MOV" instructions to load constants
suspicious, is that normal ?
I've put a log with NV50_PROG_DEBUG=1 output here:
https://fedorapeople.org/~jwrdegoede/nbody.log
nvdisasm -b SM30 for the generated binary code is here:
https://fedorapeople.org/~jwrdegoede/nbody.disasm
There are already .tgsi, .hex and .bin files there if
you find those easier to use then the
NV50_PROG_DEBUG=1 output.
