attempted wine install on Fedora 6
I have installed release 0.9.25 of wine RPM packages from FEdora 6 extras web
page. I have also tried the 0.9.27 wine built from source. In both cases wine
generates an extensive stack dump when I attempt to run any windows
application.
My computer is rather old and I may have done something wrong with the
install.
The following error message was displayed.

Issuse installing either i386 or x86_64
Greetings -
Has anyone ever managed to install 4.2 on a Sony Vaio desktop, model
VGC-RB53 ?
I can install either mentioned - but on bottup after the install, I get
a kernel panic and it just hangs.
For that matter, it does the same if I try FC4 - TIA

Wine does nothing Help !!!!!
Hello everyone..
I have installed wine-0.9.30 from source ( just ran tools/wineinstall from the source directory ). It installed without any problems. But when I try to run any program using wine it does nothing, just hangs there. It does not give any error also.
I did a "strace" on the process here is some of the strace output.

how do I tell configure where to find Java? [Broadcast]
Before I do that, I would need to remove the gcj stuff that are in /usr/bin.
If I know how to remove gcj, I'd gladly do that. However, for the
particular version of the OS, the entire GCC seems to be bundled into one
rpm, and I could not remove just the gcj component. Neither do I wish to
mess with files that are part of some RPMs--- in my experience that's
invitation for trouble later.
