Hi there, I got this problem, it's making me frantic: I got fear 2 as a present and installed it via wine, after installing vcrun2008 with winetricks, the game worked perfectly(wine 1.1.18/19). The Texture were black at 1st, but deactivating the game's graphic effect Ambient Lighting(not sure about the name, but it's the last option in the fear 2 graphic settings) fixed the game.

Is there a way to make windows shortcuts work under wine. The Fear server exe (a FPS game) looks for a server config file somewhere in C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\ which is a shortcut in the directory the server.exe is located in. I've been trying to get FEAR Combat to work out with WINE and, at first, had no problem with any mouse lag. Then, started getting ridiculous and unplayable choppy mouse lag.
