DOS access to Samba server
Hi all,
I followed Marc Muehlfeld's Wiki page to create a FreeDOS virtualbox (for
a very very old DOS app still used a bit) with SMB using MS LAN Manager:
https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Setup_FreeDOS_to_access_a_Samba_share
All fine it seems. (Thanks Marc - just a missing "\" in
"LH C:\NETNMTSR.EXE")
But I cannot connect a share:
C:\> net use w: \\server\share

Samba4 AD and Zimbra LDAP server
Hi all,
I plan to upgrade Samba to be a AD server (using FreeBSD)

2. NFSv4 ACLs are modelled with NTFS (Windows) ACLs in mind.
3. Samba4 started with a new ntvfs file server but that was abandoned

DNS problem when adding new record using samba-tool
Hi all,
I am setting up a new AD server with Samba 4.1.11 from the FreeBSD ports.
I struggle with the internal DNS. I add a new CNAME record but it does not
show up properly.
I gave the AD domain a new DNS domain (domain.fda) and the server the name
samba4.domain.fda.
I am using the internal DNS, and a forwarder to a bind server in the same
network.
After the AD provision I have this here
