[fdo] where to find fdo logos?
Hi, I have been looking for the freedesktop.org logo in a good resolution or even vector based, but I was not able to find it. If someone could point me to a ps, svg or other vector based version, that would be great. I saw a vector based version of the logo on Keith's screenshots of window-level image compositing, so they must be somewhere around there. If you have the logo in a higher

[fdo] Respository vandalism by root@...fd.o
...twine. It only recently | through the good graces of Collabora that fd.o got some paid | administration time directed at it at all (Tollef). Like we could | migrate all the stuff to machines that X.org control but we'd end up | with the same problems + another set of problems. The main problem fdo is facing on the admin side those days is a lack of resources more than anything, and we don't want to trust completely random people to have root. Those we trust enough to have root are usually quite busy already. That said, I'm hoping to make the admin burden slightly lighter by doing t...

I shall close https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=63808 then. Out of curiosity, is there a better place to report such things to fdo sysadmins than bugzilla, the sitewranglers list, and IRC? Cheers -Tim

I hope it will be fairly brief, less than an hour, but it might take longer if we run into problems Please get in touch on #freedesktop if you have any questions or if this is a problem for you. Regards, -- Tollef Fog Heen

Other than the front page, virtually everything else is the moin-moin boilerplate or the hundreds of pages of spam. Even the Recent Changes & Find Page links have been overwritten by spammers hundreds of times, with the spammers fighting each other to crap on it most recently. (I restored them both

[fdo] Security for desktop apps
Hi, I'm curious what work has been done on security desktop apps using things like SELinux and AppArmor or equivalents on other OSs. At the moment it seems to be the norm for apps to both read and change their config files if they have them and that seems to offer the potential for malware to exploit a bug in an app to make it easily propagate to the next invocation of the app. My general

[fdo] Mailing list creation
Hi all, I filed a request on bugs.f.o that games@ and games-commit@ should be created. The background is that the Debian Games Team and some Fedora games people have been working together for some time, but using the Debian lists for this is not ideal. Especially since we want to invite more distros to join forces as soon as the lists are set up. I wanted to check on the status of my request and
