[PATCH] Implement remote dynamic TCP forwarding
Hi all, This is a client side only implementation of reversed dynamic (SOCKS) TCP forwarding, which means it is compatible with any existing servers have 'remote forward' capability. To establish such forward, use "ssh -R [BIND_ADDRESS:]PORT ...". The server will listen on that port and address and accept SOCKS traffics. Hope this will be useful for you. There was an

opensshd fd_set definition problem
...ect(maxfd+1, fdset, NULL, NULL, NULL); My question is why don't you use: fdsetsz = sizeof( fd_set ); The 2.4.20 Linux kernel defines fd_set like this: #define __NFDBITS (8 * sizeof(unsigned long)) #define __FD_SETSIZE 1024 #define __FDSET_LONGS (__FD_SETSIZE/__NFDBITS) typedef struct { unsigned long fds_bits [__FDSET_LONGS]; } __kernel_fd_set;...

Connection hang, can't stop SSH
Using OpenSSH_8.3p1 I had an open (working) connection to some other box; after a bit of inactivity, some device in the middle seems to have forgotten about the TCP connection (NAT) and broke it. I've got an EscapeChar defined, though; so first I tried to send a BREAK and, when that didn't help (TCP already gone, packets get lost!), I tried (just out of curiosity) a Rekey. Now I can see

patch: properly zeroing fd_set in clientloop
...ng as a relay :-) jik has experienced some weird crashes relating to window size changes or some similar activity. These are rather hard to trace. Problem was fixed by patching clientloop, where fd_set structures appear to be improperly zeroed (bytes vs bits). FD_ZERO does not appear to work as fd_sets are just pointers in this case, so alternative method is used. Patch by jik attached (does not apply cleantly to CVS but the idea should be apparent). -- Pekka Savola "Tell me of difficulties surmounted, Netcore Oy not those you stumble over and fall"...

Idletimeout patch, third attempt
...rts now immediately after authorization has been successfull, not when sshd first enters wait_until_can_do_something() - IMHO, the patch is much cleaner. max_time_seconds variable has been removed. - It fixes two places, where select() might have been called after EAGAIN or EINTR, but the fd_sets would not have been reinitialized. - If select returns error other than EAGAIN or EINTR, it exits with fatal(). Before the error would either be ignored or just logged, but the program would have continued like nothing would have happened. The manual says, that after select() error (like ENO...

[PATCH 2/3] syscalls: Add syscalls needed by arm64
arm64 uses generic syscalls, and does not include the "noat", "noflags", and "deprecated" syscalls. i.e. __ARCH_WANT_SYSCALL_{NO_AT|NO_FLAGS|DEPRECATED} This patch adds the syscalls needed for klibc to run on arm64. this (uncomplete) patch makes various features compile time options and saves up to 24K in the resulting ssh/sshd binaries. i don't know whether this should be added to the CVS since it makes the code less readable. perhaps WITH_COMPRESSION should be added, since it removes the dependency on libz -m Index: Makefile.inc =================================================================== RCS

ssh shell spawn
Hello, I'm trying to add a feature to the ssh daemon. It consists in log all the buffer session between client and server side into a log file. I've coded a shell that works with pipes, it opens 2 fds for each std (you can see code at the end) and so the communication can be transferred to the client end point, the server side and to the log file. My goal is to patch it into ssh, but for

Multiple (multiplexed) simultaneous ssh connections - Cygwin bug?
Hello, ? I need to make many (>50) ssh connections from linux to cygwin at the same time. Using Windows 2000 Server (OpenSSH_4.3p2, OpenSSL 0.9.8b and updated cygwin) and Linux RHEL4 (OpenSSH_3.9p1, OpenSSL 0.9.7a). ? It's been difficult to optimize many simultaneous connections. Here were some issues: 1.?????? On Windows XP/Professional, Microsoft intentionally cripples the TCP/IP stack.
