glXGetVisualFromFBConfig(dpy, fbConfigs[j]) returns a null pointer I'm up to date on drm, mesa, xserver and ati driver. Compiz seems to work fine, though, if I just don't apply the fbconfig-depth-fix patch. I was having the same problem as this guy: http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=6215 Basically when starting winecfg it says "rr:wgl:has_opengl glx_version as 1.3 and GLX_SGIX_fbconfig extension is unsupported. Patch for mesa with a set of updates for EXT_tfp. Includes necessary FBConfig support, adds attrib_list to BindTexImage and fixes CreateDrawable so that glXCreatePixmap works. Hi James, thank you for your kind reply. The XQuartz folks recommend to logout and back in to have the DISPLAY variable set correctly, which I did. But I will also try a reboot to be sure. When I start something with wine, the XQuartz icon comes up automatically, so I am pretty sure that XQuartz is used (Apple's X11 is not active).
