asterisk fax handeling
Hello, I was wondering if the following was possible: When somebody sends a fax to my direct number 0101234567105 (my extension will be 105) is it possible that Asterisk, or an addon sees this as a fax, and e-mail the fax to me? So everybody with a private extension will be able to receive faxes in his e-mailbox on his direct number. Any pointers would be highly appreciated! Thanks, Peter

fax detect DID variable
...ected using the Zap fax detect? I am trying to email faxes based on the DID number it came in on but the CALLERID4 variable only contains 's' and not the original number. Someone told be the original id is saved before calling the fax extension. It looks like it is supposed to be in the FAXEXTEN variable but I think the chan_zap.c file is detecting the fax tone and calling the fax extension before it gets saved in the variable. I am using cvs head v1.2.0. I have not updated to the lastest yet because it has been working and it is our office PBX. - James Armstrong

asterisk doesn't wait for whole extension
Hi, maybe a dumb question, but it seems that some calls are directed to our central dial in number despite the extensions the callers say they dialled. E.g. they dial 1234-567, asterisk recognizes 12345, it says this is an unknown extension, where it is right, and redirects the call to the central dial in extension 1234-0. This only seems to happen when the numbers are dialled manually. When
