This is not a question of settings. You must decide yourself what to do and there are various

You need to look at the following tasks:
- get the file or files into the asterisk box
- convert to a faxable tiff format
- generate a call file and put the tiff file where it belongs (but there are other methods)
- get fax report
Of course, at first you must configure Asterisk to accept facsimiles, which depends on which
technologies you need. But everything is nicely documented.

[OT] spandsp hylafax asterisk and confusion
This really only seems practical in a corporate environment however, I would
suggest decoupling the creation of faxable material from the act of
transmitting it.
First use CUPS/Samba to create a 'print to PDF' printer

Second use an LDAP to look up to return the email address of the submitter

ghostscript-8.70-14.el5_8.1.x86_64 & hylafax+ 5.5.3
I am having some problems with hylafax+ on CentOS 5.9 converting files
into appropriate tiff files that are faxable; the problem is apparently
fixed in ghostscript 9.07.
The CentOS repositories currently have
