W2K not registering correct disk space
...ect hard disk space of my
share. However, I have a directory on my share which is linked (on the UNIX
side) to another device with more storage. My problem is that W2K is having
problems checking the disk space over multiple devices. Has anyone seen
this problem and/or know of any solutions?

Filesystem quotas
I am wondering if I really need to use dovecot quota functions or not. Assume for the moment, that, each system user has a quota defined using Linux quotas, and that the Maildir is within their quota limited directory. So, any mail (or files created by the user etc) that would exceed the quota obviously can't be created.?
In such an environment, is there any advantage to implementing the same

MySQL, map files
I'll try and break up my questions the other day about extdata that went unanswered into pieces in the hopes it will be more specific and clear.
In general, I am trying to figure out the syntax of the map statement and what is allowed in that statement. So, by map statement, I mean for example perhaps the?dovecot-dict-expire.conf.ext file as shown in the doc. Is the syntax the same for the

Dovecot2 Antispam plugin questions
Tried to find some doc on this (other than the c code), couldn't, so, asking. I do almost every programming language, except C!
When using DSPAM backend with this tool, will the plugin send ONLY the signature and not the entire message to dspam for retraining? Concerned about very large emails. If this is the case, I'd rather do this than use say the mailtrain backend which I presume

Disconnected: Too many invalid IMAP commands
Using current Apple mail 4.5 as client to Dovecot 2.0.13
I see lots of these messages in the log file for one machine and account. Near as I can tell, the client still works (it's mine), but, the messages concern me.
Is there some known issue with Apple mail, or, if not, how to capture the information needed to debug?
Sample log entires for my user matching on the message:

Sieve, before script - Can it include "personal" scripts?
Using sieve_before, can the script it references include a file from the personal space?
I want to set some parameters (by user using the variables extension) there to control what the before script does, so, every user would have the file in their personal include space.
If not, is there another way?
Can the sieve_before and sieve_global_path be set from userdb extra fields?

LDA/Postfix with quotas and without LMTP
Reading the wiki page for dovecot2 and LDA/Postfix, the system users section (all mail delivery goes to system users)... It shows you can simply use postfix mailbox_command. There is this additional comment:
"This command doesn't do a userdb lookup. If you want that (e.g. for per-user quota lookups) you need to add -d "$USER" parameter."
So, i added that. Once adding it,

2.1 Plans
Back in early 2010, Timo posted about a potential 2.1 feature to in essence reduce the number of imap/pop3 processes using various techniques since the code already supports multiple connections. It even went as far as moving all idle connections.?
I don't see this on the 2.1 roadmap. Is it still planned perhaps for 2.1? Thousands of imap processes going away is a great thing for me! So, just

Dovecot 2, Imap service, client_limit
I see back in November of last year, a thread about using client_limit in the
imap service (not imap-login) that would allow each imap process serve more than
one connection. Sounded good, until I tried it!
When I did, unlike the OP of that thread, I got:
dovecot: imap(submit.user): Fatal: setuid(503(submit.user) from userdb lookup)
failed with euid=501(links): Operation not permitted (This

Extdata plugin, MySQL
Does someone have an example of configuring the Pigeonhole Sieve Extdata plugin with MySQL dict? Particularly, the map and what key might be used in this?
The doc in the wiki isn;t clear at all to me when one wants to use MySQL store.
The file in the doc folder of the mercurial repository is basically what I want to do, in that RFC, it's bascially looking for a discard_spam setting, I
