off-topic question: Latex and R in industries
Latex and R are really cool stuff. I am just wondering how they are
used in industry. But based on my own experience, very rare. Why?

Can't find samba server after new NIC installed
Hi All,
Perhaps you guys can help me shed some light on this 'problem' I'm
facing.
I recently added another NIC to my samba server. eth0(10.0.0.251) and
eth1(valid dhcp address)
ETH0 was added to connect to another PC that acts as the backup server.
(dedicated connection)
Now, Samba won't come back up.. I can still ssh into the server and all.
Any ideas? I know that the wins

Winetools debian package
Hi,
I've been searching for a .deb package of Winetools with little success.
I've found plenty of pages claiming it's on the WineHQ repository, but I
certainly can't find it anywhere on there.
I've searched forums, the web, newsgroups, this mailing list (does it
actually have a search feature?) with little success. I haven't even
found references to it having disappeared.

problem with libc_r (uthread_close.c) in 4.8-STABLE
Unsure what exactly the problem is, but when using 4.8-STABLE I was unable
to compile MySQL (it failed during configure phase)..
On further investigation, the following code segment when compiled with
