selective virsh host permissions
...g unix groups. In this example there is a hypervisor with VMs A,B,C,D and there is a group called fortadmins. The solution I am searching forI would just allow fortadmins to use libvirt/virsh commands on VM D. Does libvirt/virsh provide any way to easily accomplish this goal? Regards, Jamie Ian Fargen

fsck and guest images
...re stored on, which the guest operating system may not be able to handle when it runs its own file system maintenance, i.e. fsck or chkdsk. Is file system maintenance on the hypervisor volume storing the VM images redundant to the VM's own file system consistancy utilities. Regards, Jamie Ian Fargen

update qemu-kvm with running guests?
...I was curious to know what happens to running guests when the qemu-kvm rpm is update via yum. I assume that the current qemu processes would be running the old binary, but the new processes would be started using the new binary. Please let me know if this assumption is correct. Migrate VM's to different storage pool?
...VM1 running on Host1, the image(s) for VM1 are stored in /var/lib/libvirt/images. I'd like to copy the disk image(s) that VM1 is using to /nfs/images. Without stopping/pausing/powering down the VM. Do you have any examples or documentation of how to accomplish this process? Regards, Jamie Ian Fargen

KVM or Qemu
List- I know this may be slightly off topic and if so tell me to hit up the emu-discuss mailing list, but does anyone know how to detect the difference between a guest that is being fully emulates using qemu and a guest that is running para-virtualized using KVM? I have and when I inspect the CPUs I see the following.... # cat /proc/cpuinfo processor : 0 vendor_id : GenuineIntel cpu family
