problem with queries
Hello, I upgraded to ferret 0.10.10 and I noticed a strange behaviour with queries. Now the queries return strange results. For example, the two following queries return the same results: familynames|firstnames:andre familynames|firstnames:andr Another example, the first query returns a correct result + incoherent results, the second query returns only the correct result: (familynames|firstnames:baus) (familynames|firstnames:baus*) Could you help me please? Thank you Johan

Accentuated characters issue when receiving attributes from "samba user syncpasswords"

The user is created with ' Active Directory Users and Computers', and have some accentuated characters in their givenName and/or familyName (sn) When parsing the diff, the CN reads of, but weird characters appears in the attributes instead of the right name : INFO:root:DN found: CN=Arsène

sending mail [not the ActionMailer way?]
Hi folks, I''ve recently stepped away from PHP web dev and I''m trying out ROR now. I like it so far. But there''s something I cannot figure out on my own. Searching on the API of ROR and Google about the possibilities of sending emails with ROR only gave me the ActionMailer way of sending mails. What I want to do is to send a mail where the body is submitted by a user.

How to enable Arial font for postcript/pdf figure on Windows?
Hi, I need to generate some figure using the Arial font as a requirement for PLoS. Following their guidelines, I have converted the windows font files arial.tff files to .afm using tff2afm (exec file from MikTeX), but when I try to generate a postcript file, the postcript device does not recognize the .afm files. The code I use to test the new font is the following:

Font '?' cannot be found when running .NET apps
Hi, I've installed wine-1.3.9 on Fedora 13 x64. I've installed the i686 version due to the issues with x64 Wine and .NET. When I try to run a .NET WinForms application, I get the error: Font '?' cannot be found. This occurs even with a simple test application which just puts up a form with two buttons on it. I have installed corefonts and dotnet20, and drive_c/windows/fonts

embedding fonts in eps files
Hi, I have to make eps files with fonts embedded. I use the following postscript command: postscript("fig3a.eps", width = 5.2756, height = 7.27, pointsize = 7,horizontal = FALSE, onefile = FALSE, paper = "special",family = "Times") plot(...) dev.off() Are fonts automatically embedded in this way? How can I see that? If not, how to do it? regards, Rudi.
