Rebuilding a Centos 6.2 netinstall initrd with an updated driver?
...would need to do what I want to achieve. It looks like I will go with Centos 6.6 (or 6.7, if I have to..) for the workstations that *need* it due to the driver issue, and go from there. Rebuilding a Centos 6.2 netinstall initrd with an updated driver?
Hi all, It seems that with the release of the X99 motherboards, a lot of vendors are shifting away from using Realtek ethernet on board NICs and using Intel. Our main distro. on the floor is Centos 6.2 for numerous reasons. Efforts are being made toward 7.1, but not there yet. Anyway, the new Intel NICs are recognised by Centos 6.6 netinstall ISO when booting, but not Centos 6.2. I have had the

Diskless Centos & Cgroup config changes
Hi, I have OS 'image' that boots via PXE and mounts over NFS. (7.5.1804). I am wanting to explore allowing cgroup usage on this configuration. The root image is exported read-only over NFS and am using statetab & rwtab to allow some persistent parts of the filesystem as well as read/write where needed. I have tried setting /sys in the statetab and this causes the machine to fail,

Hello, Whilst upgrading from Samba 3.6.4 to Samba 4.10.16 (Centos 7.9), I have observed the Windows UI acting differently when trying to write a new folder/file to path that is, at the samba server level (and below that, since it is a samba share of a NFS export), read only. When using samba 3.6.4, the error in logs generated is NT_STATUS_ACCESS_DENIED. The UI generates a pop up stating
