Can't connect to server not participating in domain
Hi All...
I have spent a good amount of time searching through the list's archives,
but have not had any luck with this issue.
It appears that I have no problem connecting to a WinNT server with
smbclient if the server is participating in the domain. However, if I'm a
server (or NT workstation) that isn't participating in the domain, I never
authenticate.

File Corruption in NT workstation but not Win95
Hi again folks...
Just when I thought I had everything working great with samba mounts on an
AIX 4.3 machine (after a lot of testing with a Win95 box), I went to do
something quickly on a NT 4.0 workstation.
I had some intallation programs in the shared directory that I had used to
install programs on the Win95. No problem.
I ran over to my boss' NT 4.0 workstation, opened the shared

Hi Folks...
Just looking for a pointer. I've written previously about some goofy stuff
I ran into when dealing with creating/modifying/executing files in a
directory mounted on a AIX samba server from a client NT 4.0 Workstation.
Thanks to those who wrote. It worked out to be a combo of a known non-8.3
pathnames in 16 bit executables, and -- I figured out by some trial and
error -- an NT
