Is there any good tools to facilitate us to create R functions?
Dear R users, We have some programs for the specific task in our research, but they were very commonly used. We want to make some functions for them, anybody can recommend any good tools to facilitate us to create R functions even without going deep into the theories of R functions ? Any suggestions or help are greatly appreciated. -- With Kind Regards, oooO::::::::: (..):::::::::

suggest enhancement to segments and arrows to facilitate horizontal and vertical segments
I suggest a simple enhancement to segments() and arrows() to facilitate drawing horizontal and vertical segments -- set default values for the second x and y arguments equal to the first set. This is handy, especially when the expressions for coordinates are long. Compare: Segments: < function (x0, y0, x1 = x0, y1 = y0, col = par("fg"), lty = par("lty"), --- > function

Today on VUC: SIP-Aware Appliances to facilitate communications
Hi, Our guest today is Steven Johnson, President of Ingate Systems. We'll talk with him about the changing role of Session Border Controllers and E-SBC and how this hardware facilitates the use of SIP in "difficult" conditions, about general SIP security considerations, and why you might need such devices on your network. VUC is every Friday at 12 Noon EDT, 9AM PDT (ouch, I'll

Using Asterisk + other FOSS projects to facilitate a call-in Internet Radio web-frontend
Good Evening, I'm setting up an Internet Radio website with call-in functionality, and need to know the kinds of FOSS tools I should install to get the job done. Here's an example of what I'm looking for: http://i56.tinypic.com/aafz4k.png Call protocol: [Producer calls in] [Host calls in] [Guest calls in]->[Screened by Producer, if accepted, conferenced into host] On the website

Why did Martin save beside all the plotters? We can't kick iterations unless Ophelia will admiringly facilitate afterwards.
Who prepares wrongly, when Dilbert consumes the root terminal inside the FBI? Go interface a connector! The UDPs, webmasters, and telephones are all disgusting and untamed. To be filthy or secure will save soft iterations to lazily fetch. Never close neatly while you're formating inside a robust procedure. Why will you transport the important huge texts before Greg does? Norm wants

namespaces
I'd like to control my namespace thoroughly, separated by task. Is there a way, in R session, to introduce namespaces for tasks dynamically and switch them as needed? Or, is there a combination of load/save workspace steps which can facilitate this? Cheers, Alexy

RFC: Adding a staging branch (temporarily) to facilitate upstreaming
To facilitate collaboration on an upstreaming effort (see "More context" below), we'd like to push a branch (with history) called "staging/apple" to github.com/llvm/llvm-project to serve as an official contribution to the LLVM project. This enables motivated parties to work with us to craft incremental patches for review on Phabricator. This branch would live during the

Aastra phones occasionally show "No Service" - Is there any network setting I can tamper to facilitate a quick DHCP renewal on the Aastra phones?
Hi Everyone, I am running DD-WRT on a router that feeds about 30 Aastra 6753i. The phones occasionally go into "No Service" mode. The POE switch doesn't seem to be the problem as it's tested fine. I think the router sometimes gives up and comes back quickly. Or something of that nature. However, the connections are maintained if a call is going on because there are peer to peer

R bindings for Xapian - Project progress
Hi all, I completely facilitated simple indexing with xapian_index function, and also developed a DatabaseWrapper. Only a few more modifications are remaining to completely facilitate simple search with xapian_search function. SGI XFS 1.0.2a, ACLs and samba 2.2.3a with win2k perms
Hi, I haven't been able to find any doco that explicity states whether it is supported, so I am hoping someone out there can answer the following questions: Is it possible for a folder/file in a samba share to have win2k security permissions assigned to it? For example, I want my samba server to participate in an existing Win2k domain. I want users to be able to set their own

[LLVMdev] LLVM Loop Vectorizer

Inlining always does a canonical transformation. It can take whatever target data is available at it's level for heuristics, but that doesn't make it a target lowering pass. Similarly, full unrolling is

Column(row)wise minimum and maximum
Hi, Currently, the "base" has colSums, colMeans. It seems that it would be useful to extend this to also include colMin, colMax (of course, rowMin and rowMax, as well) in order to facilitate faster computations for large vectors (compared to using apply). Has this been considered before? Please forgive me if this has already been discussed before. Thanks, Ravi Ravi Varadhan, Ph.D.

Moderators for the 2017 LLVM Developers' Mtg Needed!
The 2017 LLVM Developers’ Meeting relies on volunteers to keep things running smoothly. Moderators are critical to this as they keep speakers on track and facilitate Q&A after the talk. I’m looking for community members who would be attending specific talks anyway, to volunteer to moderate the session. If you are interested in volunteering, please respond to this email with your first and

Zoomable graphs with multiple plots
Hi folks, I was wondering if anyone could confirm/deny whether there exists any kind of package to facilitate zoomable graphs with multiple plots (eg, plot(..) and then points(..)). I've tried zoom from IDPmisc, and iplot from the iplot and iplot extreme packages, but as far I can tell, neither can handle the task. Does anyone know anything else that might work? Or generally know

LMTP revisited
During the early Dovecot LDA brainstorming discussions, there was some talk about the possibility of including an LMTP interface, and I've noticed that there's an "is it needed?" question about LMTP in Dovecot's TODO file. I'd like to put in a vote for LMTP, and I'm wondering if anyone else has a need for it. Specifically, I'd love an LMTP-enabled LDA that uses

RFC: Adding a staging branch (temporarily) to facilitate upstreaming
The downsides of an additional project are small. I can see: 1) It's not possible to do pull requests from there, because GitHub won't treat it as a fork. 2) It's still visible to people ( http://lists.llvm.org/pipermail/llvm-dev/2020-June/142559.html) In the end I don't have a strong opinion on whether this is a branch or a repository, as long as we move ahead soon. Square Key system
I have searched both the wiki and googled looking for a solution to a square key configuration. I need to have C.O. lines to appear on the buttons to facilitate a small office. All of the users can see each other and calls are put on hold and picked up by the other users instead of transferred. Has anyone done this? Can it be accomplished and how is it accomplished? Thanks in advance.

RFC: Introducing an LLVM Community Code of Conduct
> Your report will still be kept confidential exactly as above, but also > feel free to (anonymously if needed) email conduct at llvm.org if needed. I have slight reservations towards this. A general conduct email is good, but there are cases where you would like to contact individuals. This is for example, when the report goes against a member of the conduct team itself or the LLVM core
