Hi! I have the following config: RedHat ES 3 Samba 3.0.2a with OpenLDAP 2.0.27 Everything works fine having Samba setup as a PDC. But when trying to join a (brand new) NetApp F810 to the domain I get an error: "Could not create authentication pipe". I really would need help asap ;) Thanks Tom

We are running Dovecot 1.0.beta9 w/ mysql authentication. Mail storage is a Network Appliance F810 filer and we are using maildir. The only issue that we have run into is that pop3 logins take much longer than imap logins within dovecott and many times longer than a similar connection with courier-imap. ...and lo, the filer is able to join the domain. Both "joins" are NT4 joins - as the filer doesn't (and can't) find a _ldap service description in our DNS :) The LDAP driven samba server is just working fine otherwise, leaving more riddles for me. The filer in question is a Netapp F810 with OS 6.3.1R1, OpenLDAP is at version 2.1.22. A user root with uid 0 and sambaSID S-1-5-21...-1000 is available in the LDAP Directory, joining normal Workstations with root's credentials is possible.
