Debian Squeeze / Powerware 9135 450KVA UPS
Hi All,
I'm a system administrator of a large data center, and I've recently
replaced the machine that acted as the nut master for our
cluster/cloud. The machine that was interfacing with our Powerware
9135 450KVA 3 phase UPS, not to confused with Eaton's Powerware 9135,
and was a Fedora Core 4 box running nut version 2.0.3-4 connected by a
serial cable.
We are using these versions

Assigning to factor[[i]]
...ing vector. Is this behavior
documented? (I haven't found any documentation of it.) Is it
intentional? (i.e. is it a bug or a feature?) There are also cases
where invalid assignments don't signal an error.
A simple example:

nls() fit to a lorentzian - can I specify partials?
...anges in advance
worked well. I've since plotted about 300 datasets with relative ease.
Now I'm trying to fit a lossy oscillator resonance to (the square root of)
a lorentzian (testframe$y is oscillator amplitude, testframe$x is drive
frequency):
lorentz <- nls( y ~ a0 / (Q*sqrt((1-(x/f0)^2)^2 + ((x/f0) * 1/Q)^2)),
data = testframe,
start = list (a0=1.4, f0=84321.6, Q=600000))
and am running into lots of convergence trouble (singular derivatives,
step factors heading off to 1/infinity, etc).
Does nls take symbolic partial derivatives of my expression...

nodebytes,leafwords
hello all,
we are developing and porting vorbis1decoder on a 24 bit
platform. in the process we came across somedoubts about
node bytes and leaf words.
from the specification we got that we are arranging
the huffman codeword tree into an array. the nodebytes are the
number of bytes that are required to represent a node and
leafwords are the no. of bytes required to represent the leaf
i.e the
