[LLVMdev] [3.0 Release] Call for External Open Source Projects Using LLVM 3.0
Good day! To get ready for the release, we need to make sure that the list of external open source projects using LLVM 3.0 (file:///Volumes/Sandbox/llvm/llvm.src/docs/ReleaseNotes.html#externalproj) is up to date. Please send me an email with the project's name and a short description of it. Alternatively, if the project was commented out and you would still like to be listed, just tell me and I'll uncomment the blurb. :-) Share and enjoy! -bw

[LLVMdev] LLVM 2.9 release notes + "Projects using LLVM" + API changes
...39;ll include it in the release notes. We've been doing this over the last couple of releases and I think it adds a lot of value to show the different ways that LLVM gets used. Please send me a blurb along the lines of the examples from 2.8: http://llvm.org/releases/2.8/docs/ReleaseNotes.html#externalproj Note that I've zapped *all* of the existing blurbs from the 2.8 release notes, so if you want to be included in the 2.9 notes, please send me updated text. Thanks all, this is going to be a great release! -Chris

[LLVMdev] LLVM 3.2 release notes + LLVM Users
...e are two pieces to this. First, if you're an external LLVM user, we'd like to list you as such in the release notes. This is a great way to get some free advertisement. The section is here: http://llvm.org/viewvc/llvm-project/llvm/branches/release_32/docs/ReleaseNotes.html?revision=HEAD#externalproj Please email a blurb to include to Pawel. Also, note that being listed in the 3.1 release notes *does not* mean that you will automatically be listed in 3.2. The section will soon be cleared out. Next, if you're an llvm contributor, please take a look at the LLVM release notes here: http:/...

[LLVMdev] Windows question: Dozens of linker warnings and errors
...his. Even if you do need to interface to C/C++, clang works fine for that as long as you stick to the mingw libraries instead of msvc. There are already a number of full-blown LLVM-based language projects by 3rd parties you can take a look at, see http://llvm.org/releases/3.1/docs/ReleaseNotes.html#externalproj. Speaking about my own project (http://pure-lang.googlecode.com/), we've had that up and running on Linux, *BSD, OS X and Windows at least since the days of LLVM 2.5, using first llvm-gcc and then clang as an LLVM-capable C/C++ compiler for inlining C/C++ in Pure. I vaguely recall some issues...

[LLVMdev] 2.8 Release notes
Hi All, I've finished the first draft of the 2.8 release notes: http://llvm.org/docs/ReleaseNotes.html Please feel free to commit improvements and enhancements. There are "a lot" of changes that went into 2.8, but I think I've scraped most of them out of the commits. However, it is also highly likely that I missed something, so if I missed your favorite feature, please speak

[LLVMdev] projects that work with llvm 2.8
Hi All, I'm preparing the release notes for LLVM 2.8 and would appreciate it if you could send me a blurb if you maintain an out-of-tree project that works with it. [LLVMdev] Is LLVM our answer??
Hey everyone, I'm new to LLVM and am conducting LLVM R&D as CTO for some new technology in our company products. I've done a basic review of all the major components and have walked through the Kaleidoscope tutorial in order to get a feel for LLVM since it seems to address the needs we're looking to fill. Separately, congrats to all the LLVM developers for making LLVM grow to be

[LLVMdev] Windows question: Dozens of linker warnings and errors
Thanks for the quick reply. I had a feeling that it was due to missing Windows support in clang++ and LLVM. """ This is due to clang not understanding force_inline. These functions are defined in a header included from Windows.h, so it ends up getting a definition everywhere it is included. """ How much work would it take to add support for force_inline? Are there
