Password Expirey
Is there anyway to expire password for windows clients with a Samba (in my case
recent alpha version)? I found a post the TNG parameter "password expire time =
10" but a "strings smbd | grep expire" didn't turn in up in the binary. Anyone
have any ideas if this is possble (I see it posted frequently to the archives,
but no answers).

Outbound registration expirey
...response, and shows de message:
"Oct 14 16:48:22 NOTICE[4090]: chan_sip.c:8742 handle_response_register:
Outbound Registration: Expiry for gvt.com.br is 60 sec (Scheduling
reregistration in 45 s)"
I?m using asterisk-1.2.0-beta and the sip.conf parameters about
registration:
defaultexpirey=1200
registertimeout=1200
There is any way to make asterisk follow the 1200 seconds I?m trying to
tell? Could be something happening out of my unit but at the provider
network?
Thanks in advance,
Ricardo Poppi.

Hello
I change this from chan_sip.conf (see ipsvr):

time(&nowtime);
nowtime += expirey;
snprintf(regseconds, sizeof(regseconds), "%d", (int)nowtime);

samba 3.0.1 policies
Hi,
We are considering samba 3.0.1 as a replacement for our old-hag Windows
NT4.0 Server PDC. However, we do want some policy control, and from the
samba 3.0.0 documentation (23.3), it says the only current functional
policy is the password expirey. Is this still true in samba 3.0.1?
Can an NT4.0 server be a backup domain controller to samba 3.0.1 PDC? That
way we can keep the NT4 machine around and create the NTConfig.POL on that
machine, and store it on the samba 3 PDC. Is that possible?
Is there any way that samba 3 PDC (NT4/2K/XP clie...

detect asterisk pbx via sip
Hello,
My situation is that , I can't make calls with asterisk, but with x-lite
works fine. Asterisk shows , that successfully registers with another SIP
server, asterisk sends invite, gets trying, and after 30 secs asterisk gets
408 Request timeout. And as I said , with x-lite no problems. I heard that
for comercial purposes, this SIP server detects asterisk , and ignores him.
Or maybe it
