Unstable printing w/3.2.0
I've upgraded my print server to CentOS5 w/Samba 3.2.0. While it "works" we are experiencing numerous irritating issues. I'm curious if anyone else is experencing these issues. 1.) Print jobs do not clear out of the CIFS queue. So we now have printers that show they have over 1,000 jobs in the queue although the queue is empty. This is a bug scheduled to be fixed in 3.2.1 (I believe) so at least I'm not crazy on this one. 2.) When attempting to uplo...

Filesystem problem
Hi. I have been experencing some filesystem problems for the last month or so. I was running 4.8-STABLE and updated to 5.1-RELEASE-p2. While I was running 4.8 and I tried to run a command that required hard disk activity, the process would 'hang' and I would no longer be able to ssh or telnet in. I would get stuck a...

Problem with smbpasswd
Hi all, I've just set up password encryption using 1.9.18p4. I compiled with NO ALLOW_CHANGE_PASSWORD option because compilation didn't work (I'm using HP-UX 10.20). Everything seems to be working correctly instead of a 'normal' user trying to change his (samba-) password using smbpasswd (root can change any password). The messages I receive are as follows: Old SMB password:

Generic X100P setup issues
I am starting to dip my toes into the asterisk world, and to that end I've scavenged an old PC (this is a home project, and I have basically $0 to spend on it), and installed FC1. I've purchased a clone X100P (or at least I was told it was), and I am trying to get it to work. However, when I try and load the wcfxo module, I get the following errors... winbind problems
Hello, I am running a Samba server (3.0.7) on a Suse 9.2 box. I have connected this server successfully to a Windows 2000 Active Directory (mixed mode). I have nsswitch.conf, krb5.conf configured and winbind seems to be running properly for the most part. With wbinfo I can get all of my user and group information. Problem is, it seems that at random times, the samba server just stops
