win95-98 problems
I've installed samba in my linux machine (Mandrake 7.2). With WinNT and Win2000 there is no problems, but in Win95 and Win98 It's impossible to read files, and open exixting folders, the error is: "the file (folder) don't exist". If I try to create one, It'isn't shown, there is an error, but if I go in machine with win2000 the folder(file) is there. How can I resolve this problem? Thank yuo in advantage Roberta Mancini ---...

uninitialized constant - Please Help Me...
Hello everyone, I''ve decided to take the step into creating a mini-forum for my website where users can open new posts on exixting topics and allow people to discuss things etc... I am following a tutorial in the book: APRESS - Practical Rails Social Networking Sites and have hit a minor issue. Part of the Forum requirements is to add a moderator role to allow only certain individuals the ability to manage topics etc. Th...

Attach libvirt guest to an existing openvswitch port
...emen. I am building a study project and trying to configure openvswitch vlans outside libvirt by means of openvswitch itself. Somehow with interface types 'bridge' and 'network', libvirt does attach domain to the existing port specified in <target dev=''/>, wiping the exixting settings and always deletes this port upon domain shutdown, thus making me loose ovs configuration. Could you, please, tell me how should I configure an interface or libvirt itself to avoid this libvirt's greedines. libvirt 2.4.0 Thak you. Ivan.

change OS on one node
...one gluster brick. Is it possible to hold the data on the brick? If yes, how can I connect the data partition back to the new brick. I will remove the brick from the volume and remove the peer from the pool first. Then setup the new OS then I would like to configure the new brick and bind the exixting partion to the new brick. Or is it better to format the brick and rereplicat the data? We only have 500GB of data. -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed... custom sql queries beyond CRUD
Hi, I am just starting of in rails. I am trying to understand the features of rails and I have this burning question. (and search is not available now): Apart from relying on the automatic CRUD sql script produced, is there a way I can create my own sql script ex: with many joins between exixting tables (for reporting ). All I need is to declare the custom query and place the result in a recordset and then to display it somewhere. Thanks also for any links to documentation that clarifies this. TIA, Tuka PS: I dont program with ruby yet... but I can easily read any snippet given.. I t...

Automatic creation of local users
...ma_mode = rfc2307 idmap config SUBDOMAIN:range = 10000 - 99999 with this setup you have the followin options. 1) Linux ids only , range 0-1999 2) Linux id + Windows BUILDIN/Windows local id's. 3) Windows AD id's Now thew problem you had with your user was not because it did not exixt in linux, but it mismatched its id. If you want a "linux only users" create an user and keep its id below 1999. If you want a linux user with but with some windows abilities, create a linux user with id between 2000-9999 And windows users which need linux access, gets id's between...

Automatic creation of local users
I’ve actually found a solution to my problem, but I wanted to post it here, since someone else might have the problem in the future, and I think it would be nice if I could spare them the week of Googling I needed. Basically, I have an AD member server, running Samba 4.2.10 (on Centos 7.2.1511). Here’s my smb.conf: [global]         workgroup = SUBDOMAIN         server string = Samba Server
